I for one have seen one too many shitstorms of people losing it over literally nothing than to think people saying we shouldn’t do that are actually the problem. This site in particular is one of the more moderated and relaxed sides of the fandom and even it gets out of control sometimes in the comments, even in 2019. Especially back a few years ago, I was disheartened to see the “brony vs non brony” shitstorms basically turn into “brony vs other kind of brony” wars on the internet.

I don’t see this at all and I can’t understand why you see it that way. I see it as an image made by someone who’s sick of seeing people in the fandom literally screaming at each other over dumbass reasons like why Luna is or isn’t “better” than Celestia in some way, or the constant “starlight is the best/worst thing ever and fuck you for thinking otherwise” dribble. Having opinions is one thing, liking or disliking a character is completely fine, but it’s annoying as hell to see how weirdly hostile people can be towards each other in this fandom over the endorsement of a certain character by some random person and I think that’s what the OP is touching on. Basically, it says chill out, not “you’re not allowed to have negative opinions”. It just means don’t be a dick.

So you’re not awared of it uh? Remember that half mess that was the Sixth season? It had some stupid unwanted effects on the fandom, as around the end of it (mostly after the finale aired) a lot of people came to hate the Mane 6, the pulsing cores of the entire show. No One knows what was the cause of this, but I think it had to do with the unjustice that season reserved to them (like anticlimatic conclusions of Arcs, heavy character derailments and trashy and unnecessary treatments For the sake of the story), and unfortunately as a big fan of them I do have a problem with that season myself as well… However as much I’m not a fan of that season, coming to hate the characters completely forgetting About all their best moments of the first five Seasons (as well as deliberately ignoring the ones of the Seasons that came afterward and the Movie), it’s a very stupid reasoning, but it’s even more stupid to Know that some People even came to hate Twilight because the Death Battle video in which she go clobbered by Raven from Teen Titans… But hey, Internet Users logic! Shouldn’t be surprised of that! …. /)_-
