Oh so you really just pen tooled the shading and then clipped it?
Tried it too though I think I overdid it on everything and I put the shading in the wrong place
I made a shading object, then duplicated the entire pony, grouped the whole duplicate as one object, and used the duplicate as a clip for the shading object.
When there’s an outline, you have to turn that stroke into a path for the clip to work correctly for that. It gets a bit tricky.

It’d make this image too cluttered. But I’ve got a few poses in line to do… but it’d probably make them too cluttered, too…
Yup that’s the pencil tool. I guess I just need more practice XD

I always use - whatever the thing is called that comes up with shift-F6 in Inkscape :p
