O.o dang. Very interesting information! :)
1- I recommend practicing on how hair functions and flows, it can actually be the most fun thing once figured out. This applies for the tail too.
2-back leg anatomy can definitely be improved, I would recommend drawing skeletons and looking at horse skeletons to improve.
3- You got this weird triple blade fan looking symbol on his face, I see you are trying to give his muzzle depth but for now I recommend scraping it until you find the best effect that suits you.
4- The hair covering eye. I recommend at least not going for the effect once 50% or more of the eye is covered by hair. That’s what I usually do.
Looking at other artist better than me really helps. I’m currently updating my angles and face on my ponies to look more delicate. They have been looking like ugly boxes lately and I hate it. I definitely recommend getting an art sensei.
