ok this is a good idea but there a huge problem. Flash is a minor character. bigger problem, hes a minor character people hate and has been replaced by an asshole named timber. there is no way the writers are going to do some that long term for a character hat the story isn’t about and is hated by a lot of people

That’s the method I proposed, Jerry was written that way to display the dangers of emotional manipulation. Fixing Flash’s character is relatively simple.
 
One way would be to swap the roles; in this case Rick would be other character (probably Sunset) and Jerry would be Flash, then over a period of time we slowly see him move on with his life and stop attempting to grip for people’s pity and attention through a series of trials and errors where he periodically makes mistakes and comes out a better person for it.
 
The important part is making sure he makes a mistake and having someone call him out on it, that would go a long way to fixing his character. No mistakes, no character.

No I Ment fixing Flash. Also I do feel sympathy for Jarry considering the fact that he has had his life up rooted by his father in law who I’m sure we all can agree it the world’s biggest ass. And also Rick did call him out on it in season 3 the one when Jerry and Rick go on there own adventure and Rick became literally retarded for a few hours

It’s 2018 and people are still pissy about Flash and Timber. Amazing. Where’s the tiny violins when you need them?

Oh, to do that I’d have to spoil Rick and Morty. It’d be better to watch the show at your own pace and draw your own conclusions based on the viewing.
 
The summary is that main character Rick calls Jerry out on his self-pity/guilt tripping and as a result Jerry starts to actually make progress in his personal life.
