When those hope writers had realized their mistake when the story of princesses celesta and Luna had welcomed princess twilight sparkle to a crowd when she stepped on her gown and tripped acting like nothing had happened. With the introduction of princess sunset shimmer to a crowd is to have the crowd wonder whom else is up for nominations for princess.

Personal head-canon: Twilight replaces Luna as patron of the night, Sunset replaces Celestia as patron of the day.

Although I have to admit they did a pretty good job of going Celestia (Day), Sunset (Sunset), Twilight (Twilight), Starlight (Night), Luna (Midnight)
