After being so inspired by reading a theory about Twilight Velvet and Windy Whistles were actually in love with each other before meeting their husbands, then after they went their separate ways despite still loving each other, Twilight Velvet gave birth to Shining Armor, and later the future ruler of Equestria, Twilight Sparkle. Windy felt happy for Velvet to be a mother and Windy herself bore Rainbow Dash and once in a while she would see her old love but couldn’t talk to her because she was married to Bow Hot Hoof. Rainbow Dash and Twilight Sparkle had a close friendship, but never quite got the close relationship that their mothers had. Before marrying stallions, Windy felt heartbroken after Twilight broke up with her but eventually she actually spilled the beans to her daughter, Rainbow Dash…

Bow Hot Hoof: “Why Rainbow left so fast? I thought she would stay for dinner.”

Bow Hot Hoof: “sigh” What have you told her again? Is that about that plushie Velvet gave you?”
 
Windy Whistles: “I had to confirm something.”
 
Bow Hot Hoof: “About what?”
 
Windy Whistles: “Our Rainbow Dash is #1 gullible pony.”
 
Bow Hot Hoof: “…. (busted out of laughter) You’re mean, honey. But I love you.”
 
Windy Whistles: “Do you think she will forgive me?”
 
Bow Hot Hoof: “Eh. She’s #1 forgiving pony, remember?”
 
Windy Whistles: “Right.”
 
Bow Hot Hoof: “But seriously, why Velvet gave you a plushie of her?”
 
Windy Whistles: “Uh…..”
 
 
Eventually Rainbow Dash told Twilight but she didn’t believe it, she always considered her mother and Windy to be no more than friends. Secretly, Windy and Velvet met each other again for the first time in many moons after the Battle for Equestria, and shortly after Princess Twilight Sparkle finally succeeded Princess Celestia and Princess Luna, Windy asked Velvet to come with her over to a nice relaxing place near Cloudsdale during the late evening hours of the night of Twilight’s big coronation. Windy carried Twilight over next to a bed of blue and white flowers where no pony would see them do it, and the two confessed to still being in love with each other for so long, but they had to do it quick or else the secret was exposed.
 
Windy Whistles: “Twilight Velvet, There’s something I have to confess”.
 
Twilight Velvet: “Oh, do tell me, Windy Whistles. It’s been a long time since the two of us had a date together but why are we here again?”
 
Windy Whistles: “It’s that, well, you see, my daughter had wanted to tell Twilight Sparkle about our past relationship and when she did she didn’t think we were secret admirers”.
 
Twilight Velvet: “Well, I told Twilight about this a long time ago, and she had the same reaction that I’m sure Rainbow Dash did. But of course it’s only between us. And whenever other ponies hear about it, we say we’re just friends, not really lovers”.
 
Windy Whistles: “But of course now that Equestria is finally rid of any major threat and harmony is full swing, I knew it was time for us to have one more get together before our daughters finally get what they have promised.
 
Twilight Velvet: “Oh, yes! You’re right!
 
Windy Whistles: “My daughter is going to become Captain of the Wonderbolts and she makes me and Bow Hot Hoof proud as we raised her to be the BEST she can be!”
 
Twilight Velvet: (sniffing) “And… my daugther Twilight Sparkle is going to become the next Princess of Equestria! I never thought I would ever see the day where she would become an Alicorn princess, more less be ruler of Equestria! I’m the best mother in Equestria, this is the best news in the world, and don’t forget I’m a grand-mare to Princess Flurry Heart! The cutest little thing! She’s gonna grow up to be like her aunt!”
 
Windy Whistles: “I can’t imagine being you having a daughter become the next ruler of Equestria, because that is such a honor! You are indeed the best mother in Equestria! Nopony else has had such great parenting as you have with your son and daughter and your husband also as to the best father in Equestria!”
 
Twilight Velvet: “Night Light is proud of them too! And because they owe us for bringing them into the world, I feel like everything is complete, now I can look forward to a full-retirement somewhere in Shady Shoals somewhere… but anyway it’s nice that you brought me here because we definitely needed some closure because have had to raise the best daughters of Equestria I figured that we mothers of the six most heroic ponies in Equestria should get more get-together activities more often.”
 
Windy Whistles: “That’s right, and anyway, do you remember the first time we met? Where you were busy studying and I came after a workout and you asked me to join for lunch?”
 
Twilight Velvet: “Oh, yes. It was at Sugarcube Corner. The place was brand new and they had some of the best cakes and pastries and Mr. and Mrs. Cake were some of the nicest ponies ever and we had some of their delicious pies. It was a wonderful time”.
 
Windy Whistles: Yeah, and plus you were studying over at Canterlot, and I often flew by to say how you were doing and you often carried books over and you flirted with Night Light often and we would then have picnics together because the two of us were so nice to each other we were seen together even when Night Light was around and the two of you were dating of course but I didn’t want to interfere with you two because I respected you both.”
 
Twilight Velvet: “Well, I never told him you and I were dating, just hanging out over at some of Canterlot’s finest eatings, and you took me once to Cloudsdale and I was afraid of heights but you took me there safely and I went into your house and you often were training to become a Wonderbolt.”
 
Windy Whistles: “And there was the day that we had to confess for one another, I liked you for your class and feminism.”
 
Twilight Velvet: “And I liked you for your athleticism and your looks, you had such a big colorful mane and tail, even when you were dating your husband and got married and had Rainbow Dash to look after you still had sporty looks.”
 
Windy Whistles: “Yes I did, and because I wasn’t cut out to be a Wonderbolt, I took my hobby of bowling and I have won countless bowling tournaments and I’m the best bowler in Equestria! My husband bowls too but he couldn’t beat me, and my little Rainbow Dash has one some bowling trophies alongside my own!”
 
Twilight Velvet: “Wow! You two know how to strike! Well as for Night Light and I, we pretty much had to teach Shining Armor and Twilight since the two were so gifted. Shining always wanted to become a Royal Guard, Twilight was all about magic and she became Princess Celestia’s favorite student and pupil. Now she has several pupils including one that doesn’t live in Equestria and wasn’t the best student of Celestia’s.”
 
Windy Whistles: “Right but I wanted to remind you of when of we first did it.”
 
Twilight Velvet: “First did what?”
 
Windy Whistles: “When we became really close friends and we found it crazy if we actually fell in love with each other, and you didn’t want your family, friends and Night Light to know?”
 
Twilight Velvet: “Oh, the first time ever we did it. Let’s see. That was when the two of us made plushies of us together when we promised that we needed to focus on our own goals. When we finished them and sort of smiled, giggled, and blushed, I felt something coming on and then as I was talking about our times we spent together you seemed you’re going to either fly away or just dash out of the room but then I realized that you were going to—
 
 
Windy who slowly descends herself underneath the flowers as she was talking, then lunges towards and pounces on Twilight Velvet and when they land, Twilight who wondered what Windy’s ordeal was could feel Windy’s warm mouth slowly kissing hers, as Windy moaned, Twilight with her eyes opened as wide as she could open them realized what she was lured to, and knowing for the first time in years when they were young mares after completing the plushies they made, could feel the former love of her life gently hold her front hoofs around Twilight Velvet’s waist, and Twilight Velvet’s hoofs then ascend around Windy on all sides and she then closes her eyes and her front hoofs start touching Windy’s face. The two had perhaps the longest kiss of their lives, and Twilight felt that this moment could last forever, but then Windy finishes the kiss and the two get back up, with the two staring at each other for a moment, then Twilight bursts out with laughter, followed by Windy as they roll back away from each and the two laugh so hard they can’t breathe.
 
 
Twilight Velvet: “W-W-W-W-Windy, (laughter continues) Windy Whistles! (laughter continues followed by short series of coughs) You, you—you didn’t have to do that! It wasn’t even necessary the first time you did it to me! (laughter quickly dies down with a lovely sigh)
 
Windy Whistles: (blushing) “Why, Twilight Velvet! All I wanted was to recreate the moment after we finished our plushies all those moons ago!”
 
Twilight Velvet: (shouts) THAT’S WHY YOU BROUGHT ME HERE?! (she laughs for a few more seconds, sighs then gets back up on all fours) So that was, quite a touching reunion was it not?
 
Windy Whistles: I guess you can say that. (giggles) (Twilight gives her a kiss on the cheek)
 
Twilight Velvet: Why thank you. That was probably the longest kiss we ever had in our lives. Not even Night Light had ever had a kiss so passionate as yours. You do that to your loved one?
 
Windy Whistles: I did it to Bow Hot Hoof a few times. He doesn’t mind it at all.
 
Twilight Velvet: Neither do I. But that was one of the craziest things that we have ever done and of course no pony ever saw it! So, two best mom friends forever?

Twilight Velvet: Oh my gosh! You know what, I still have the plushie of you at my place! But I can’t give it to you now, wait until tomorrow and I’ll give it you when you show up on our front door.
 
Windy Whistles: You got it!
