A lot of fans will agree that one of the things that made MLP:FIM memorable was the music, especially the songs. We all remember Winter Wrap Up, The Smile Song, A True, True Friend, even the song Flawless (despite being in one of the worst episodes the show produced).
Unfortunately, Pony Life decided to capitalize on that by singing a song about friendship. (Gee, we haven’t heard that one before). And let me tell you, it is AWFUL. I checked on Wikipedia and it said that the composer of the music on this show is someone named Jess Furman. Well Jess Furman whoever you are, You could’ve done better than this. I mean, the song sounds like the voice actors forgot to sing, and they didn’t even use the stand ins like Rebecca Shoichet, Kazumi Evans, or Shannon Chen-Kent for them. So the moral of this story is: Never let Pony Life do a song.

Yeah, the BGM isn’t bad.
BGM in cartoons is very underapreciated compared to BGM for games, and movies. Surprisingly, some like Inspector Gadget, and MLP:FIM have great BGM if you listen closely to it.
So it doesn’t matter whether or not I like the finale song; I will still disagree with this.

I dunno, some are pretty good, funny, catchy, and/or almost showtune quality. Diamond Tiara’s li’l sad song is one of my favorites, and is genuinely the most heart-rending song I’ve heard in MLP, or any recent cartoon.

I just read OP’s description and still don’t understand all the “hate” on PL or TTG.
I’d say the gif I replied with is relevant as a reaction image. And the gif itself gives me only the good thoughts about PL.

your current filter.What I mean is. I’ve seen say some G1/G3 fans hate on FIM for similar reasons, like the focus on humor, some of the modernizations, the new artstyle, the fact the ponies barely resemble real horses, or because it reminds them of other modern cartoons they hate, and such.

All we’re asking of you is to stop calling people stupid or saying they have a short attention span or whatever the fuck for liking PL. People have the right to enjoy the show and you shouldn’t shit on people because they enjoy something you don’t enjoy.
I honestly don’t know how much clearer I could make this point to you and yet you still seem to intentionally deviate to other topics.
I’m honestly suprised how dense you are about this. When I say it’s a completely different show, how can you possibly get I think they are too similar from that? You seem to not be able to understand that people can judge a show on it’s own without having to compare it to anything else. Reusing character names and designs does not make two shows comparable. At all. When I say I don’t like Pony Life, it’s not based on a comparison between it and FiM. I don’t like shows like this period. Same with TTG and that shitty Thundercats show CN tried to make happen. So I also still wouldn’t like if it didn’t use the Mane 6. I’m not saying I think it’s bad because it is or isn’t like FiM. I’m saying I think it’s bad because I just think shows of it’s ilk are bad, and I have very little respect for them.
Also, how can people dislike FiM for the same reasons as Pony Life? FiM and Pony Life both have problems, but ones unique to themselves as they are not even close to being the same show.
It is, I just meant after FIM ended, P.L. fills the empty space between G4 & G5.

That’s what they are doing, but my point was no matter what they do, some will be disapointed.
Heck, some G1 MLP fans think G4/FIM is a “terrible” show too, and they oftentimes say it’s for the same “reasons” you hate P.L. So honestly whether any Pony show is “good or bad,” is up to the individual.

Soooo are you saying P.L. is bad, because it’s not like FIM, or because it is being similar to FIM?
And honestly, would you really accept P.L. even with an entirely different cast?
Personally, I’d love G5 to be different, and have some new characters, but have some “nods” to past MLP gens, like the 2012 TMNT show did, and such. Like maybe a Derpy cameo, or something, or new versions to old villains. (Like the Penguin guy from G1, but make him a li’l different.)

It’s a case by case thing really.
I thought G5 was going to be bridged by the movie next year, and have pretty different characters.

One more thing.
If they just reuse the same main cast, or something very similar, than it would just be Pony Life all over again. I can easily see more poeple rejecting something that looks like something they love but acts in a completely different way than they know. It would be best for G5 to be something almost entirely new with a different cast as the only ones who would not want that are just those who can’t accept FiM is over, and that minority will continually numbers as time goes on.
Toddlers don’t need to understand it. If it’s vapid nonsense with incredibly fast pacing, bright colors, and near constant loud noises than it’s made for them. Or simple-minded adults whose attentions are difficult to hold.
I also agree with OP with that Pony Life is not like FiM. At all. It’s a completely different show wearing FiM’s skin as a mask to hide just how bad it is.

I heard G5 is going to have a new cast, and be quite different, but I’m sure people will hate it for that too.
I don’t see why everything new has to be 100% different, or 100% the same, in some fans’ eyes to be “good.”
If your reason for hating P.L. is because it’s similar to G4, then wouldn’t that mean it’s not a “toddler” show, and such like you claim, seeing as FIM wasn’t either?
Meanwhile, OP’s reasons for hating P.L. is because “it’s not like G4,” so you guys can’t even agree why it’s “bad.”
Personally, I don’t think it’s perfect, or terrible honestly.

Also, I would love for G5 to be something completely different from G4 with no re-used characters, designs, or concepts. After 9 seasons, it’s safe to say G4 has more than run it’s course.
