By sphinx standards, Twilight’s implicit in it by knowing about it but not doing anything about it. They have entirely different standards of right and wrong compared to ponies :P
@Badumsquish
Twilight didn’t create the royal library though? She isn’t the one who decided certain books are restricted access, so I don’t see why the sphinx would have an issue with her.
Even if I don’t agree with at least half of your lore justifications though, all the monster ponies you draw are entertaining nonetheless.
Or you can be as one kitsune pony well have a shadow pony so I choose both so it doesn’t matter if pony gets possessed twice or more at the same time so it can work as absolute one unit

She’ll just pull a Between Dark And Dawn and “delegate” it to one of any giant monsters and be like “So this is how you rule Equestria!” Then if anyone tries to cite a rule or law that says she can’t do it, she’ll do a School Daze and be like “It’s not a civil rights issue, it’s a FRIENDSHIP issue with its own rules. I should know! I wrote the book!” :P
@Badumsquish
I’m no lawyer and this isn’t legal advice, but she could have potentially risked legal ramifications as the result her actions, as well as a possibility of there being riots and terrorist organizations in the streets.
@Background Pony #828C
Because she’s Twilight Sparkle. She’s never been told no, is always given what she wants, and has full authority to do as she pleases. The idea that she’s not allowed to do something is totally alien to her XD
@Badumsquish
Then my question is why she’d believe that she’d have a reason to hold a trial like that and not be sent to the legal ethics committee or whatever for a hearing, though maybe it was done for theatrical purposes like the end of Oklahoma.

It’s like a cultural difference. To sphinxes, knowledge is more valuable than anything else: knowledge is wealth and you learn for the sake of amassing knowledge. The ponies having private archives like the Star Swirl The Bearded Wing, hiding or destroying spell books and scrolls, and things like that goes against everything sphinxes believe in. Sphinxes don’t care about the motives behind locking such things away, either: they believe that if the world can be destroyed by knowledge it deserves to be destroyed :P
@koschyy
That’s actually one of the biggest reasons Sourpuss would hate Twilight Sparkle. As far as Sourpuss is concerned, Twilight is perverting everything she believes in by holding a “trial” that decides a pony’s fate during a trade fair without a proper legal proceeding :P
@Badumsquish
Hasn’t Twilight canonically obtained her law degree and passed the bar exam? This picture depicting her trying a case seems to suggest this.
@koschyy
They don’t eat souls. Just life force. They’re like a chaotic neutral version of the lawful neutral hell horses :P
@SwingtownDerp
Someone familiar with lifting curses. Too bad she’s managed to annoy all three of the sphinxes who know of her, to the point they’d likely not be willing to help her. This one by screwing around in a tomb (which is how she got possessed in the first place), this one by locking away knowledge rather than freely sharing it, and this one by being involved in the one and only court case she ever lost in her entire thousand-year long career as a lawyer. All three of them could fix those curses no problem, but all three of them think it’s karmic justice for Twilight to have to deal with them :P
Some day :P

Bicycle? Twi’s becoming the supernatural town bus – everyone gets a ride, all at once.

Exactly my point. What DID she do when Neighsay told her no? She moped for a while, then just did what she wanted anyways :P

Edited
PKE Meter: explodes
The Winchesters have a pretty good track record when it comes to dealing with possession…
Or maybe Bill Murray, etc.
Somebody call Luigi!
Or maybe all she needs is a crescent moon-shaped crystal so she doesn’t have to use a vacuum cleaner on her own body.
Sooner or later she’ll think to ask Zecora if she knows anything about removing curses :D
The chimera might know something about them :D
What about Greece cruses
Yeah being the princess of Friendship but also a massive nerd means that not everybody is going to love you
@moonchosen
There’s honestly a lot roaming around Equestria. They get passed around like chickenpox :P
