It has it’s occasional legit uses for criticisms. (Especially, in fanfics.) Though, many do ruin the term as using it for any character they dislike.

Other characters like Starlight and Flurry, (y’know the baby that barely ever shows up) have had that term attached to them, as well.

Agenda simply refers to regarding sacrificing plot and good writing to sell toys, instead of sacrificing neither like the eg sequals did. You don’t need to overcomplicate something so simple, there nothing ‘conspiracy theorist’ about it.
 
To your second paragraph, this falls under subjective viewpoints and opinions I mentioned earlier ….many see the difference but it’s okay if you don’t. If you simply don’t agree, thats simply your opinion. No one’s expecting everyone to understand.
 
The importance isn’t her present power or treatment, but the present context and what it means for later.  
Of course twilight isn’t being treated as celestia status right away, that wouldn’t make any sense. However celestia treats twilight as her successor and the only hero that matters comparitively, and it would take a drastic tone shift to change that. Celestia saying ‘we are all your students’ was as intentional as it was misguided. The show has given her a bright shiny castle and apprentice long before she’s gained independent wisdom enough to support either responsibility.
 
Current context and theme is far more important then current power or treatment. Theme determines the direction of the show, and celestia still expects the world to revolve around twilight in every big dillemma.

I still don’t “get” what this so-called agenda is. (And just ‘cause I don’t see one, doesn’t mean I’m agreeing with it.) You sound like a conspiracy theorist. Closest one I can think of is “to sell toys?”
 
The same could be said for the EqG movies, as they also used deuse ex machinas, or last minute power-ups, as well. I don’t see the difference.
 
The show-makers already confirmed Twi’ isn’t immortal, and I haven’t seen anything where she was treated, or shown to be all powerful/immortal like a god, and such. Heck, at times Starlight Glimmer seemed more powerful then her.

Aren’t you confusing the word ‘noticing’ with ‘agreeing’? You’ve been on this site WAY too long to not hear the explanations for the agenda of the poorly written finales AND where they lay, you just don’t agree with their perspective. Which is okay, but disagreement sounds better then denial.
 
God is a bit of an overstatement, but until the show makes it perfectly clear she isn’t going to follow celestias footsteps and live 1000s of years older then her friends, then it isn’t entirely inaccurate.

In general, the most good things people have to say about tireks ‘arc’ is that it’s action was awesome. Not mentioning its generally bad writing, it was basically tensionless since discord prearranged to have the six unlock the rainbow power from the beginning of the episode, making his betrayal, (without sabotaging his old plan),and instant forgiveness either a) suspicious, or b) downright nonsensical, depending on your perspective.
 
Plus, it was just another safety net episode. No tension at all. With the two eg sequals, the safety net doesn’t exist…you don’t have celestia making a situation more complicated then it needs to be, the heroes simply have a situation and do their best to fix it.
 
Do you really like stories with pre-arranged victories that much? Discord spelled out 90% of the means to unlocking the ultimate power 10 minutes into the episode.

I think calling her a “god” is a real overstatement, and I don’t recall noticing any kinda “political agenda” in the show.

If a story started with too simple a theme, then an explosive ‘Perspective Change’ Trope is one way to introduce new types of stories even after several long seasons.
 
Its odd isn’t it? The last two big stories that were completely separated from Celestia’s agenda for ‘Princess’ Twilight Sparkle were Rainbow Rocks and Friendship Games, and their writing was far FAR superior to the lousy finales and premiers and the overlying princess themes in the show. That doesn’t mean there are no good episodes, but the ones that focus on this sort of thing tend to only cause split perspectives and/or hate. In comparison to those and EG1, the other 2 movies only generally received hate from the people still hung up on humans being introduced.
 
If their plan was to allow the watchers to feel doubt in a storyline of the show, so that a Perspective Change feels the most real, then they’ve done a hell of a job. I’m reserving judgement on the fate of the show for when EG4 and cinematic My Little Pony movie comes out.
 
If the feeling of ‘liking of the show in spite of’ that many feel caries on to the end of the full cinematic release, the do-or-die moment they’d be crazy to half-ass, then we’ll finally know

It’s been a few seasons since she’s turned into a god. It’s still a mistake.
 
In retrospect, the first signs of the systemic fuck-ups in the show’s structure were Cadance and Shining Armour. Since then, every later episode or new season has had to carry the weight of the past mistakes while trying to treat the setting with respect and develop or introduce new things without making too many big mistakes. The fuckups keep piling on, and the show’s starting to collapse on itself.
 
The ratio of good episodes to bad episodes has fallen sharply in recent seasons. They’re killing their own show and going against canon that was either already established, or very heavily implied. They’re fucking up hard, turning it into their own personal political soapbox more often, and it’s really starting to feel like I’m liking this show in spite of what they’re doing rather than because of it.

Honestly, throughout Season 4, and half of Season 5 she hasn’t really done that much princessy things, or mentioned she was a princess much. Sometimes I even forgot she even had wings, or was a few inches taller.
 
In fact, one of my only gripes about Season 4 & Twilicorn in general was they hardly even mentioned her new “status,” or did anything with it, except for in the season opener, and finale. (But at least the finale addressed how she didn’t get to do much as a “princess.”) They did a li’l more with it in S5, but I don’t feel like they were constantly shoving “Princess Twilight” in our faces like some claim.
 
I don’t know, maybe I just don’t have that bias for or against Twilight really to notice much difference with her. She’s still sometimes “adorkable,” and “flawed,” even as a princess, I feel.
 
In fact, honestly I feel Season 1 was way more “Twilight-centric.”
