Damn, that’s brutal… and completely true.
Do you like apples? Then yes. :I
Can we be friends? Not lovers, just friends? All these people talking about who would win in a fight between a pony and a human have me concerned.
Sorry Lyra, but somepony had ta say it. I still love you as a close friend.
You use your magic to wrench the stick out of their… claws. I think.
You laugh, as their only means of attack is now 50 feet away from them.
Then you realize too late that the human has simply picked up another stick and has broken your horn off with it.
Oops!
Nah, mate, that’s the App-endix you’re thinking of. All it does is explode when they’re displeased.
I thought toes were useless.
Or was it kidneys?
Besides, humans have the most ridiculously versatile tool on the entire planet.
HANDS.
Well, I try.
I’ve noticed that that seems to happen a lot when mayojar is involved…
Ain’t it a beaut?
… Shut up.
But if you can’t put them down, then you also can’t swap out your tools for other ones as the need arises.
Granted, tool use is not the be all and end all of evolutionary measures. Sure, it may help, but it helps more to not have the option to put down your weapons.
Venom spit is resource intensive. Making the venom takes a LOT of time and energy and once the stored up supply is depleted (very quickly), you are fucked over. Plus, the venom spit is usually a defensive measure, not an offense. It’s meant to blind and incapcitate the enemy so you can bugger off into safety.
If that were not the case, we would all spit venom.
Tools you can make in bunches and you can learn how to be more accurate very quickly AND you can increase your accuracy and range by using your spear with other tools.
But a thrown tool is inaccurate, and only works for as many throwing tools you have. Besides, that’s what venom spit is for.
Tools can also be THROWN with great force. You can’t say the same about claws.
Tools can be dropped.
Your point? Tool-Use is an intrinsic part of being human. We are natural tool-users. What’s the difference between killing with a claw that has grown on your body, or shaping a piece of wood or stone into a tool for killing and using it? None, other than the making of said tool requiring a good amount if intelligence.
That was with weaponry.
Still, why did they even have a class on human history? We’re not humans!
Unsuited for killing? Buddy, have you never paid attention in your history class?
