I’m among the few who think the lesson of H&H Day stuck and they’re just friends. Is that too much to believe?

I am a fan of shippings, but not to the point of force feeding you the image, no I support all shippings but at least try to bring forth legit evidence why they should be together. Like I use this to defend SoarPie, one from what we have been given we know Soarin’s love for Pies, so far only though we know he loves Apple pies, but he can possibly love others. When meeting Pinkie Pie, if he ever does in Cannon, but besides the point for now at leaast here is more defending it. Pinkie helps with baking at SugarCube Corner so a pastry shop sounds perfect for a Pie loving Pegaus like Soarin, and that is where they can possibly meet. Did I mention they both love sweets and dig in, another funny cute quip to why they work. That is my defense and my opinion which everyone is entitled to on why that would work. Now out of just personal taste with lack of any good defense, I just say this, I am fond of SoarRare. It doesn’t work at all, but just my personal crazy shipping.

only argument I ever see from FlutterMac fans about why it works is that they look cute together.  
Really there isn’t much about Mac that would make a fic, it is easy to add to his character since there isn’t all that much. So why not use a character that he has interacted with in canon instead of shoving him with someone that he hasn’t.

I think it’s because they don’t really have much in common, but its cool you found something in common with the the 2. I honestly don’t mind Twilight with a stallion (or any of the Mane 6 with ones).
 
I’m saying this because… we just really need some more stallions in this series to shine. If we got that… I wouldn’t mind seeing some cosplayers for them.

I like TwiMac but sadly barely anything came of it and it wasn’t even really used until Post Season 3  
although I will read nearly everything with Twilight as the focal character, TwiMac is in my Top 5 ships I will read along with TwiDash (most popular ship according to Derpibooru tags and FiMFiction groups, it has the largest single pairing group), SoarLight, TwiCora (why isn’t this a thing!?) and TwiShy (these are my top 5 Twilight pairings)

You would think there would be more TwiMac because of the Smarty Pants issue but oddly there isn’t, I can only actually think of 2 fics that use it for a basis of the pairing too >.> It would excellent shipping fuel and it never happened.  
I would hate to see what would happen with a more popular ship like SoarinDash and FlutterMac if they got ANY shipping fuel

I suppose that would be okay, but I can still see a lot of overzealous fans running around forcing it down peoples throats and maybe flinging shit at other ships too. It doesn’t take much to send people into overdrive when it comes to shipping, a boon like them being ‘just friends’ would likely be enough to send legions of fans running around preaching that it’s canon. I mean, come on, we have ships that become popular just by two ponies standing next to each other.
 
I’m not saying all fans are like that, but if even a small percentage of them were, it could become incredibly obnoxious. And my dislike is certainly not limited to this ship, any ship involving one of the Mane 6 bothers me.
 
Meh, why does everything about MLP have to turn out so unpleasant? It’s like this shit is cursed or something.

There’s a way SoarinDash could work without becoming a relationship. They could just be friends. You know “just hang out”. There’s nothing wrong with that. Even FlashLight isn’t suppose to be canon.
 
Hell, SoarinDash shippers would be pretty happy for them to just talk… nothing more.

I don’t want anything to do with a ship even if it is canon, and canon is mostly meaningless to me anyway.
 
If a ship does become canon, I will just have to retcon it out of my headcanon/ignore it completely.

But seriously, canon romance is the last thing we need, I don’t think I could make it through that alive. Enjoy your ship as is, you don’t need it to be canon, and people who aren’t a fan certainly don’t need it to be.
