True, but I think, while we’ve been given fair amount on that end, they haven’t done the same to the rainbow kingdom. Haven’t quite seen enough that justifies that in the end.
 
You might argue that Twilight’s place on moral high ground could be considered that, but I don’t think it’s quite enough.

My only problem with S3, or Twilight becoming a Princess honestly, I didn’t think they had enough dedication, or foreshadowing for Twilight’s “ascension” in season 3. The only foreshadowing we got was in the “Crystal Empire” season opener really.
 
I think they’re doing it a bit better in S4 with the “foreshadowing” for the whole “Rainbow Power” thing.

Well, twilight had Season 3 set up as a giant Dedication to her progressing, and then If she gets a castle as the season finale of this season, I think that kind of nips the Living in a tree house thing by making her straight up a princess with a Quasi-kingdom.

Twilight still manages/lives at the library, doesn’t really do anything princessy, or use her status to improve/help Ponyville, and such. What do you mean the others are the only ones stuck in “status quo’?”

Interestingly, the game seems to run on HTML5, instead of the usual Flash.

A shameful thing but not that unusual in fiction.  
And it’s true Twilight is the “favourite child” but some of the others are actually happy where they are. With the exception of Rarity and Dash and their development and progress is much more rewarding, realistic and not to mention, easier to identify with. There’s no need to look only at the bad side. The situation is actually a lot more fair than it seems.

I’m not against Twilight growing further. It’s just that everyone else seems (for the most part) to be stuck in the status quo, or that anything notable they do ends up benefiting Twilight the most down the line.

Probably not. Unless you count the rainbow attack that they did with the elements, since I think they’ll still be able to do that.
 
The whole season is a lead-up to giving Twilight the Rainbow Kingdom, hence her mentor status to everyone including her friends this season. The CMCs won’t get any closer to getting their cutie marks, the mane five won’t get any closer to fulfilling their dreams and the whole “rainbow epiphany eyes” they all had will mean nothing since it’ll be all about Twilight’s special-ness.
 
Yes, seeing Twilight succeed and grow is nice but why can’t it also happen to anyone else?
