Because protagonist or their cuteness overrides her common sense, which while not my head-canon would make a really good survival tactic.
Even by those standards, Fluttershy should still be held responsible for the Parasprites. The first time maybe can be excused, but the second time? Because she had to keep “just one”? How do you not know better by then?
To be fair a lot of those we’re accidents or they mentally altered. Dash however knew exactly what she was doing.
