So it’s not rational to want to protect yourself and from likes of Orks and Necrons who want nothing more than to kill you?
Oh yeah, that’s great logic.
But you’re trying to make a strawman argument by trying to just look at the xenophobia and not they pretty justifiable reasons that the Emperor had for feeling that way toward most aliens.
But that’s the thing man. How many more alien races can you name from the lore that weren’t openly hostile toward humans in some form or another, even back in the Emperor’s day?
I bet you can’t even come up with 10 alien races.
And I can only think of maybe 3 that weren’t in some way bad or harmful to humans, at least not ruling over them.
And in some ways, you could chalk up the Emperor’s xenophobia to somewhat bad writing at times. Because I’m sure someone as intelligent as the Emperor would know that not all alien life in necessarily outright bad, but that he’s seen many instances of humans either enslaved or otherwise by some alien species.

Yah but there reasons for disliking xeno’s isn’t based on there interactions with them or anything rational, it’s based o the simple fact that they dare be an intelligent species that isn’t human, and since they have some wire believe that humanity is divine and the universe belongs to them they see any non-human intelligence as an abomination to be cleansed from existence. Besides, not all the xenophobic civilizations are bad. there’s the tau, they just want peace, but do the horrible world they live in the only way to achieve that peace is through conquest of those who refuse to join them

Well, seeing as how almost all major xenos races in the galaxy were either openly hostile toward humans, such as the Orks and Necrons, or how others couldn’t be trusted too often, being the various Eldar groups, it’s not exactly going too far to be “xenophobic”.
And it was also the Eldar’s fault that they couldn’t be trusted by the humans. Because they always constantly tried to manipulate them for their own selfish means.
Because imagine if the Imperium could’ve checked off one of the most ancient and powerful races in the galaxy from their enemy list.
If the Craftworld and Exodite Eldar would’ve put their ridiculous arrogance aside and actually tried to be allies with the Imperium, they might’ve saved not only tens of thousands of eldar lives, but also billions of human lives as well.
@chubbyninja89
That is true, but the god emperor was still a hyper-xenophobic human supremacist who didn’t like anything that either wasn’t human or wasnt human enough.

Don’t try to justify the terrible acts the forces of chaos do in the lore.
For while there could be some brutal things done while the Emperor was around, the Imperium was a lot less messed up while he was around. It’s just gone to hell in a hand basket at this point.
And that’s why I always hated the forces of chaos, because they try to justify unbelievably horrible acts as if it’s just the way of the universe.
@Ragegamer243
Well maybe Malal was created by the Emperor’s Imperial Truth and all. You know that whole thing about him possibly creating a new chaos god. And Malal is suppose to super hate the other chaos gods.
Whatever you want to do man.
It’s just not so cut and dry as some people like to think it is, especially not in 40k, or 30k I guess.
I clearly didn’t phrase myself correctly, I’ll just go
That’s dumb, that’s so dumb.

That would’ve been a huge boon to both races.
