If you can’t pick up the obvious on your own, then it’s a waste of time explaining it to you. She left bitter but still had feelings of friendship that she longed for but buried. When they showed back up, and RD was about to die, on top of Pinkies pleading for help and reminding Gilda of how important RD had been in her life, she let go if the dumb little reason she had for cutting ties in the first place to go help her friend.
 
 
That’s how people work. I’d hate to ever be friends with you if you can’t see that, since you’d evidently leave me hanging off of a cliff waiting for death over a little fight we had several years prior.

What aren’t you getting about the episode? At the end of the day, RD was still Gilda’s former friend and as established in today’s episode, was Gilda’s first real friend. Regardless of the poor partings they had last time they met, RD is still a significant part of events in Gilda’s life. If not for her pride, she probably would’ve apologized to RD ages ago.
 
Thanks to Pinkie’s persistence (and RD’s life being in danger), Gilda was finally able to let go of her bitterness and make amends with RD. They didn’t just make up for no reason.

Didn’t show anything at all. Gilda just went from being the same old Gilda, more or less, to “Oh sorry guys, I want to be your friends!” Just like that. Ridiculous.
