That’s not how it works. What if something goes wrong during their practice with the stormclouds? The school could get into serious trouble because it’s their equipment and their students. Never mind that Firefly is abusing the coach’s trust in her and has been again and again. Again, just because it’s Dumbbell saying it doesn’t mean it automatically becomes untrue.

Yeah but using your position as the coach’s nephew just to get someone booted off the leading team out of spite pretty much destroys any credibility his arguments may have. Regardless if he’s making a good point or not. Not to mention he’s manipulating Gilda against RD out of spite at this point. He doesn’t deserve to be allowed to have a point.

Dumbbell makes some good points here. Rainbow and Firefly may be sympathetic because they’re viewpoint characters, but she still crashed the school dance and they’re still using potentially dangerous school equipment without supervision. Whether you like them or not, that’s still massively wrong.

As much as I hate Billy in this, unfourtunately he’s right, and Dash is letting her pride and loyalty get herself into a tight spot that she may not be able to get out of without consequences…Everything kinda started where Dash didn’t get to be in varsity stormball like Gilda, and we can see that it could really be all because of Billy telling his uncle that Dash isn’t good enough for the Varsity roster, even though anyone with a decent set of eyes (no offense, Derpy) can see that Dash has the chops to be with the big boys. The fact that Dash is in JV instead of Varsity is because of narcissism and that Billy just doesn’t like her. That’s another story in itself.
 
So this could be why there was that line in the canon show where it seems Billy was referring to Rainbow Dash being kicked out of school. This was the reason…

A lot of whats going on hinges on nearly everyone holding the stupid ball at once. The comments you made about Billy are the exact same ones I made months ago. Gilda just seems down right idiotic to be with a guy like him. Either that or the sex is mind numbing and creates miracles.
 
A lot of basic common sense is being sacrificed. How much of this can be excused by “They are stupid hormone driven teens.” ? Mayhaps a bit too much.

About 2 years after this Dash gets ultimate revenge when she blows up the weather factory.

And the school board will tell your uncle billy if he tells them what you told him this: “No evidence no expulsion.” Also billy… good luck with being the most unpopular kid in school with getting a star player kicked off a team. JV team yes but still…

Been reading Dash Academy off and on for a long time, and even though I’ve done a refresher read, there’s still some questions I can’t seem to find explanations for, and I was wondering if anyone can explain them to me.
 
1)Why does Gilda like Billy in any way? We can put aside the fact that he gives her attention considering Dash has been there for Gilda for a long time, and things worsened on both ends when she started dating Billy. This isn’t character naivity either, even Gilda has basically said that the only things Dumbbell cares about is having fun with Gilda and making rainbow dash’s life miserable. She knows he’s obsessed, he has shown to be a completely toxic and uncaring person towards others. Gilda literally has zero reason to trust him. She ALREADY knows he has zero capacity with trying to be friends with Dash. They established Gilda knows this. So what’s this delusion that Billy isn’t the problem coming from? Even if Dumbbell is good at sweettalking Gilda, everything else she hears come out of his mouth about others she loathes and despises.
 
When Gilda raised her claw to smack him and stopped the thought forming wouldn’t be ‘there’s a wedge in our relationship’, it should be ‘this relationship shouldn’t exist’. At this point, the only question left is ‘is his dick really that amazing?’. Cuz I’m sure dating an obsessed loser is not how Gilda imagined dating the top jock of the school would be like. She wasn’t looking for deep romance, sure, but I’m pretty sure she doesn’t want to be dating a guy with a hate boner for Dash bigger then the boner he has for her. Knowing Gilda, I’m pretty sure she’d rather be single and happy with her life-long friend at school, then having okay sex then absolutely miserable the rest of the time being caught between Billy’s feud with Rainbow.
 
2) Heck, when Rainbow didn’t show up for the party, Gilda actually heard from Surprise that the reason she was absent was something was amiss with Firefly. And low and behold, she finds Dash and Firefly, and Firefly does not look like she’s had a good week even from a passing glance. While one might feel some betrayal, that alarm bell going off in your head telling you some other shit is going down would be pretty hard to ignore. Why interrogate just Rainbow? I know its normal sitcom stuff to ignore that shit, but Billy isn’t exactly giving much motivation for her.
 
3) Derpy’s plotpoint is basically her asking Firefly if she can talk…and giving up the second she says she can’t without saying its important. Teen pregnancy is nothing to make short of, but as a plotpoint, it can’t be the end all excuse for big secrets being put off infinitum to cause the most drama. So when they say that Derpy tried to tell Firefly twice…did she really? She asked and left as if Derpy wasn’t looking urgent or Firefly couldn’t pick up on urgency. I’m not blaming either, its just both their reactions aren’t realistic to the situation.
 
4) Billy is not overly bright, yet he’s put this much focus and detail into ruining Dash’s life. Unless Gilda’s relationship with Billy has been only 100% physical, then alarm bells of his obsession, which we already know she’s aware of, must be coming out of the wazoo.
 
So am I missing something? As for #3, I don’t mean to be dismissive of teen pregnancy issues in the least, its just the reactions seem out of place. Like, the dialogue works, but if two people are actually talking, dialogue isn’t the only thing that’s important. Depending on the subject matter, people like Firefly can detect something ‘heavy’ regarding Derpy.
