Is MLP the best cartoon of the 2010s?

Apparently you don’t see much with “bronie” goggles anymore considering that’s not even how it’s spelled. You might as well spell it “brownie” like the degenerates in the YouTube comment sections do.

I like Steven Universe but I honestly wouldn’t put it above MLP for similar reasons CatsTuxedo brought up earlier. It’s very hard for a casual person to jump right into the show. Likewise, Steven Universe’s pacing is just all over the place and it’s usually very slow for the show to get really into the plot. And when it does get more story based and plot focused, it teases you for a bit and then throws tons of boring filler townie episodes afterwards.

they aren’t fillers since stuff from those episodes even if it is just minor stuff sometimes comes back to play roll again later on so I don’t really fillers Sugar & her team have things planned out while MLP has basically been as if they have been mostly improvising since Mccarthy left that last part alone is one reason why I put Steven Universe above MLP FIM

Yeah. I’m aware that the Crewniverse said that there’s no filler in Steven Universe. I was more using it as a term because those episodes felt like filler. A lot of them feel slow and boring and quite a bit of them are focused on side characters that a lot of fans of the show find really insufferable.
 
But because they’re “not filler” you still have to slog through a bunch of episodes you may dislike just in case you might avoid missing a little something that might pop up in a bigger and more important episode.
 
And I honestly don’t think Steven Universe is as well planned as you think it is. The show isn’t script based and is instead mostly storyboard based. Sugar has also admitted that she doesn’t like saying no to the people that work for her. What would happen if two people that are in the crew have two completely different ideas that contradict each other? Would she still say yes to them both?

So am I still the only one who think that it’s the best cartoon of the 2010’s?

If nothing else, I would say that MLP has had the most cultural impact of any cartoon of the 2010s. It’s a close call, because shows like Rick and Morty, Steven Universe and Adventure Time are very large and influential, with multiple memes made in their name. However, I just don’t think anyone quite saw the tidal wave that bronies were going to be. I mean, do any of those shows have their own conventions? I don’t think so, but I’m not actually 100% sure.

I would say same thing about MLP FIM majority of stuff between season premiere & finale are basically fillers & I have found insufferable specially since like 60% of focus has went from mane 6 to Starlight & her crew specially with Twilight arc being mostly done it feels like Starlight was created for story’s they wanted to do with Twilight but found it was too late to do it with actual Twilight & they said “hey lets make character we can poor all our ideas with” its kinda obvious specially with me since I no longer wear brownie goggles
 
but anyway likeing or disliking filler or “filler like” in this case is all matter opinion specially when I visit sites like Toonzone for example
 
& to your last part show being story board driven doesn’t really change much overall she along with crew have this story to tell she has road map just because it ain’t scripted doesn’t mean it ain’t planned out the show itself is proof of that also its been 5 seasons nothing like in your example hasn’t happened so far & probably unlikely to happen in future

I think the difference between the “fillers” (or rather the Slice of Life) episodes of My Little Pony and Steven Universe are consistency in pacing. With MLP you know that the action packed episodes are usually reserved for two-parters in the season primeres and finales while the rest of the season has Slice of Life Episodes. With Steven Universe they go back and forth between the two and sometimes when it feels like the more action based plots get pushed aside immediately for Slice of Life episodes to the point it gets really jarring.
 
Case in point what happened rather recently with one of the Steven Bombs. In the show Lars (who died and came back to life) was stuck on Homeworld and he and the other Gems he was with were in danger from the other Homeworld Gems. When Steven came back on earth, how does the show treat it? A lot of shows would have perhaps had Steven gather up his friends to perhaps help rescue Lars and the other Gems. Or at the very least show some sort of concern for him. Instead when Steven’s talking about it to Connie, it kind of comes off like it’s no big deal. And the show does treat it as no big deal because right after that the show focuses on an episode about one of the minor characters running for Mayor and the current Mayor asking for Steven to help him with the election. Instead of focusing on Homeworld and what happened to Lars, the show just dances around it and has this bizarrely handled mini-arc with Steven and Connie having an argument instead.

actually those episode if actually pay close attention steven & beach city deals with aftermath of it like we him telling sadie what happen to Lars, we see beach city getting angry on dewy has handle the aftermath of stuff that’s major reason why he lost election & also how can steven & rest can even rescue Lars? since only way is ether by space ship or the “rose portal”[that’s what I call it] problem with ether is they don’t have space ship one of the ruby’s stole the only one they had & with the Rose Portal is completed Since Lars himself is the other side of Rose Portal himself so how can you make Lars go though portal if he is the portal? || besides Lars of the Stars the most resent episode is major update on his situation he & outcast gems have stolen gem space ship & are heading back to earh Long Way Around ||

They did but they kind of treated it as a joke (like the bit with his parents throwing tomatoes at Dewey). As for the ship situation, perhaps they could have had Peridot help them make one. At the very least they could have been planning about what to do. And I’m aware of Lars of the Stars. My main issue I’m talking about here is just I have a problem with show’s pacing and how it executes some of its plots.

true but they still dealt with it did not ignore it they dealt with fallout & we find our way to deal with we forget SU is action/drama/comedy & even with your Peridot idea that would probably taken 4 or 5 episodes since building the space ship would probably become story of in itself finding the right parts & everything to me pacing is fine fits with story they are trying not perfect by any means but it works for SU because its just not his story its about crystal gems & people beach city specially thoughs like his dad or people he has become good friends with like sadie
