Most of it revolves around improving Sunset’s creditability as a villain since it’s a common complaint I see and some dialogue changes.

…………She used tidbits of Intel acquired via a brilliant guise to systematically dismantle any group that could challenge her while also setting people against each other to maintain the divisions, and outside of one random intervention nearly pulled a perfect plan off to remove her only threat, all with no magic, she’s the most credible villain not named Tirek,

The issue was they told us about these manipulations, yet her actions during the movie failed to live up to them in any way. Even said manipulations seem to have succeeded mostly by luck, if any of the five had actually spoken to each other at length they would have soon realized they were being manipulated. Her photo manipulation scheme likewise seems to rely on her victims being idiots who have no understanding of electronics.
 
And after this rather pathetic attempt has backfired? Sunset pulls off her ‘sledgehammer and bluster’ plan, which falls apart the moment Twilight calls her bluff. She then resorts to the ‘jump on my rival and pull her hair’ plan, which does not help her reclaim her dignity.
 
Her backstory being thinner than tracing paper and her ultimately plan coming across as deeply ludicrous doesn’t help.

Still more than any of the other villains got, also don’t ever mix up Sunset’s name with that cheap dollar store knock off, it’s like seeing someone mix up All Star Superman with a Rob Liefled comic levels of insulting,

At least Starlight had a plan and motivation worth a fart. I’m willing to argue than Sunset was a better hero, but villain? She was possibly the most disappointing in the whole franchise.

Well unlike Starlight or the others, she wasn’t 100% evil during her villain career, so her effectiveness was nerfed, i mean if she was as willing to throw down physically as she is now she probably wouldn’t have had as much trouble getting the crown, but since she had morals unlike Starlight she didn’t want to hurt anyone to badly,

Everyone knows Starlight was the better villain, dude. It’s common knowledge at this point.

And it certainly doesn’t make her villain on a par with Tirek.

I mean, she was ultra pissed there from having her life ruined and in season 7 she took steps to stop herself from getting that pissed with Trixie because she was afraid she might do that kind of stuff when angry.

Sorry, man. But you really can’t talk about Starlight without mentioning Sunset once or twice. You can blame the writers for trying to make Starlight the next Sunset Shimmer.

Thank goodness she now has enough self restraint to not hurl earh shaking laser beams at people anymore. She’s such a saint.
