I just manually re-tagged the few images under “artist:proxy”. It’s been a while since it’s been tagged on anything, so it’s not likely that it’s gonna come up again.

You’ll need to convince someone other than me to do that then. All the definitions I’ve found say that oviposition is only the process of laying eggs, not inserting them. As far as I’m concerned, all the “egg insertion” images under “oviposition” are mistagged, and the current alias is correct.

If I had to guess, I have the feeling he was just trying to leave the fandom as silently as possible. With the way DA and Tumblr are designed, a lot of people just look at their notifications center/dashboard, and not individual profiles/blogs. I wouldn’t be surprised at all if over half his followers haven’t even realize he was gone yet.
 
He deactivated his account at least a month ago, if not longer, so I doubt that he’s going to make any sort of mention of it this far along. Kinda reinforcing my suspicion that he’s just silently leaving ponies behind. It still kinda sucks when it happens though :/

DA is kinda a slow site - it wouldn’t surprise me if it just takes them 3-4 months to remove images associated with deactivated accounts.
 
And I’m pretty sure he just left the fandom. It’s not the first time he did it either - he left a few years ago (but didn’t deactivate his account), and then came back several months later.

Ok, here is a weird, oddly specific one:
 
If you open any page that has a listing of images (such as the front page, a tag page, or a profile), and you have no cookies set from the specific domain you’re on (using an alt URL, being in Incognito mode, opening the site in a new browser, etc), any images that are spoiled by the default filter (suggestive, spoilers:s06eXX, etc) will show as “(unknown tag)” and display the generic “Tag Hidden” image instead of the specific spoiler image/heading. Refreshing the page seems to clear this and display the correct spoiler.

I’m seeing nothing in common between “Candy Floss” (which appears to be a cloud) and “Cotton Candy” (which appears to be the snack and possibly a previous gen pony). There’s way too much dissimilarity that I’m not sure even an implication would fit here.

“Oviposition”, according to Google, means laying eggs. If it’s being used incorrectly, then it’d probably be better to find a new tag for whatever it is you’re describing.

So about the whole “laying down” vs “lying down” thing - I checked the two tags, and as of this morning, they were 100% identical. Literally every single image tagged “laying down” was in fact a pony “lying down”(without even a single exception). Therefore, I merged the two tags together, as “laying” was simply nothing more than “lying” misspelled.
 
I get that grammatically, “laying” and “lying” are two different things. But since they were both being used for the exact same thing, I’m going to leave the alias in place for now, as it seems to be a common misspelling. If there were any images that would’ve fallen under “laying”, then someone must’ve re-tagged them to something else. But if someone can show images that would correctly fall under “laying down”, I’ll remove the alias so that that tag can be used again.

Yeah, but since there’s two actors who play the same character, an alias/implication for that is pointless, because it would be incorrect approximately 50% of the time.

I just manually retagged that. The blog’s two years dead, so I don’t think anyone’s gonna care enough for there to be an alias.
