According to their DA, they’re abandoning DA and moving everything to their Tumblr, and they are still updating the Tumblr but nothing else. So I’ve moved everything, including the plethora of other aliases they’ve used in the past, to artist:vividvulpine.

The artist is verified and active on the site, so I agree that without instruction otherwise from them these tags should stay as they are.
I think we’re all caught up - if you had an alias request that hasn’t been done, please repost it.

They used to go by karkat-is-hamtaro on DA, but later changed to HammyHika. There are no redirects as the old account was wiped and deactivated instead of renamed, you can find the old URLs in the source URL on some posts here. They go by plaxtons-galaxy on FA.

So, upon closer inspection… yeah it does look like something weird is going on here. The main page for that artist at http://caibaoreturn.deviantart.com doesn’t redirect, and it seems like any image link on DeviantArt will redirect to the correct artist no matter what you put in the subdomain. (E.g. http://asdf.deviantart.com/art/Tons-of-fluttershy-630217122 redirects to tungstemwillow too.)
tungstemwillow’s account does have a lot of caibaoreturn’s art though; maybe it’s just another person reuploading caibaoreturn’s stuff? There are a bunch of artworks tagged as artist:caibaoreturn that have a source link pointing to tungstemwillow’s DeviantArt… https://derpibooru.org/search?q=artist3Acaibaoreturn2C+source_url%3Adeviantart.com
