Because Twilight’s a genre blind chump with Wisdom as her dump stat. Seriously, if she couldn’t see the whole “You must save the Crystal Empire by yourself” thing as a blatantly obvious test, she’s not going to come up with a solution like that.

I know I’ve argued for a complete reconstruction of the educational system that puts more weight on the students and emphasis creative thought. I proposed that we need to do away with the lecture process and put kids into an environment where they’re obligated to study on a topic and present an argument on an issue on that topic (C vs E in biology as a basic example).
 
Teachers for the most part will be there to give them the basic foundation to build off of, teach kids early how to learn and research, act as an adviser should there be questions, and a mediator when the topic comes to the point of in-class discussion and presentation at the end-of-topic essay/presentation that argues and proves whatever they have learned.
 
They’re also not obligated to pick a side and force themselves to defend it, but to research the general topic until they’ve accumulated the resources to make a stance.
 
Of course, this has only pissed off advocates for the current system who say this will be ineffective. But really, what efficiency do we have in this system if we’re producing ignorant jack-asses?

To this very day I wish I was homeschooled. Public education has failed, it’s to the point of, as my guidance counselor called it, “assembly line eduction”; get ’em in, school ’em, get ’em out. People do not learn the way schools nowadays teach. Everything I learned including how to do math, read, write etc. I learned outside of school. I of course had to study and take tests but the day after the test I forgot almost everything. Tax dollars at work!

Here I am this morning, my heart was beating heavily as I woke up and the veins in my hands were rather prominent. I figured that with the light sweat on me that I’d gotten dehydrated through the night, but a glass of water later and while the veins aren’t bulged out my heart has a slight twinge and I’m able to feel the beating of it.
 
I’m pretty 50-50 on it right now, whether I should call in to work or try and make it through the day. My last test is going to be walking to the bathroom, taking a shower, and if my heart is acting like before I’ll be calling in but perhaps it’ll be better?
 
The situation made me curious about your opinions. What’s your stance on sick leave from work? Does it bother you when you have to? Does it bother you when others do so? Do you think it’s a-ok, and to which degree of illnesses do you find okay for call-ins?

Alright, I’ve decided to test if my conspiracy theory about the Foundation is true. I have looked at a picture of 096’s face.

When i grow up and finally have children i will be this kind of father:
 
-Only 5 minutes of tv per day, no more.  
-Internet access only when they reach 16, so they dont annoy people over the internet with their shitty lil kid voice when playing online videogames  
-They must read 2 books per week, i dont give a damn if they cant make the deadline.  
-If they annoy someone at the bus or somewhere else, they yell (or throw a tantrum) or they get less than A in a test, they get a paddling. No exceptions.  
-They will call me mister, not father, or papa or some bullshit like that.
 
In that way i will shape them so they know true injustice and they are better prepared to face the world. They will grow up as resented people who will give the best to their children, because they will truly know what is wrong in the world.

Though I’ve never used a gun myself or own one, I certainly would like to learn to shoot and buy one, One of the things I want to do before dying is go hunting :P
 
Unfortunately gun laws here in Portugal (and Europe in general) are way tougher than than most of the world, so both things would be kind of a pain in head to get.
 
As for my taste and knowledge in guns, I’m not really that much into it, maybe own a small reliable pistol and a hunting rifle.

I read an article not long ago about 3d printed pistols, they already tested them and they work fine, although they seem to be made of plastic, even if made with high-performance plastics it makes you wonder if they deteriorate rapidly with use.

Contrary to popular fandom belief, neither Twilight or Cadance are actually immortal like Celestia and Luna, and will have to undergo more trials and tests before fully becoming like C and L. (And such a process will also allow for Shining and whoever [if anyone] might get shipped with Twi to join in on the immortality change)
 
Changelings are not immortal, but they do stop aging after a certain point. From then on, their bodies will get more and more riddled with holes and cuts until they simply fall apart. (So extremely old changelings would typically be either very fragile or missing a limb or two)
 
Twilight’s ‘new’ magic is the antithesis to Dark Magic: a magic that is fueled by feelings love and friendship, rather than only a pony’s plain, inner power, and a counter to Dark Magic’s fuel of hatred and fear.

The element could also had a system of their own that trial everyone who search them. It would made them way more practical and have the merit of being ready for any situations instead of relying on a possible villain unconscious desires for redemption or random circumstances to show the specific qualities required by their holders.
 
I just watched it again to test my idea, and The shadowbolt were claiming to be related to the everfree forest, not NMM, and they might be a complete illusion to test RD. Another possibility is that it was planned by NMM or any other evil force as a way to make them act against their element, like Rarity keeping her tail, Fluttershy too afraid to be kind to the manticore… but honesty as the quality coming from nowhere is a rather weak argument in both scenarios.

Speaking of, I have an idea. If we can somehow get Luna in here, we may be able to get her to put Sad into a dream state. Theoretically, she would be able to take as much tickling as she wants without fainting.
 
As far as a test is concerned, I already gave her teats a run yesterday. She seemed to enjoy it quite a bit.

However, his face fell to a frown when he heard it spoke. It appears it would not test its mettle against him. “Hrmph! I’m sure you’ll be busy then….”
