Reminder that there was a character named Ralph Kane (in the bushes below) in Wait Till Your Father Gets Home (1972-74) that was put in to make the titular father, Harry Boyle, look rational in his conservatism compared to his neighbour’s politics.

Okay, wow. I’d like to take a moment to apologize to all the right-wingers in this thread. Not because the po-po showed up (hi Derpy!), but because I just watched Trump’s press conference, ostensibly about infrastructure, and, uh… wow. Lot of choice quotes for the #FakeNews media to pore over over the next few days. My personal favorite: saying that there were “very fine people on both sides” of the rally. Now if he had said there were violent a-holes on both sides, or however you say that in Trumpese, I could certainly agree. But one side, the protesting side, was pretty much exclusively bad hombres. The normies were pretty much all on the counter-protesting side, along with the obligatory left-wing nut jobs. And yes, white supremacists et al. have every legal right to do their thing, assuming the paperwork is in order, but that doesn’t make them “very fine people” by any stretch of the imagination.

What I’m saying is, his support for the alt-right puts you guys in perspective.

The Alt-Right has no definite form in most people’s minds, so whenever someone like LeoNero says something right-wing, there’s going to be persons naming that someone a Nazi or some other pejorative label.

That you don’t know why what you said is antagonistic toward others and insulting is a problem, because it means you are likely to do it again. If you want to talk about it please PM me.

If everyone could please stop calling each other names or personally attacking each other that would be really awesome.

It’s clear that you aren’t going to agree, but if you could please remain civil toward each other that would be appreciated.

You’re right, it’s not the same thing. The factors are all different, the protestors in Venezuela have a clear target, the government.

In the US it’s different, the Charlottesville riot wasn’t between pro-government forces and anti-government forces, it was a fight between the far left and the far right, a fight between the people. This will cause more riots if not addressed but it’s not going to cause a civil war like the one we saw when in 1861

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
