The first ever original programming from Cartoon Network was “The Moxy Show”. A series of interstitials featuring an anthropomorphic dog and his cricket companion animated in motion capture, they would commentate on Hanna-Barbera shorts that would play in-between the program. Running from 1993 to 1995, the series is seldom remembered by the network despite its importance to the channel’s history and a lot of its episodes are considered lost to this day.

Big Bird was originally going to go to space in 1986 as part of a publicity stunt, but the idea was scrapped as the costume was too big to fit inside the cabin of the rocket so a schoolteacher was instead put in their place. That rocket? The Challenger space shuttle that exploded after takeoff.

Dark5 made a video about people who’ve never been identified and one of them was the Leatherman. I theorize that he was a guy who wanted to escape modern civilization and live on his own.

The Leatherman was a vagabond famous for his handmade leather suit of clothes who traveled through the northeastern United States on a regular circuit between the Connecticut River and the Hudson River from roughly 1857 until his death in 1889. Thought to be French-Canadian because of his fluency in the French language and the French-language prayer book found on his person after his death, his actual origins and identity are unknown. However, contrary to popular belief, he is not the origin of the name of the Leatherman tool company.

In 2016, the british army was about to name a ship after someone famous and made a poll. A bunch of people suggested “Blas De Lezo” for a joke as Blas was known as a spanish commander who in 1741 hold and won a battle against the british in Cartagena De Indias, now in the country of Colombia.
Needless to say, even after earning the biggest amount of votes, the option was rejected.

The “Star Trek Movie Curse” is a fan term made by fans of the Star Trek franchise, in reference to the quality of the various movies from the franchise
The “curse” is that the ODD numbered movies in series are considered to be bad by both critical/fan reception, while the EVEN numbered movies are considered to be the good ones in the series. However this “curse” has been noticed to be broken by the 10th film in the franchise, Star Trek: Nemesis, as the film was both a critical and box office failure so bad, that it helped temporary kill off the franchise for several years
Ironically enough, the 2009 reboot trilogy of the Star Trek movies is seen as an INVERSE of the “curse”, as the 1st and 3rd movies (Star Trek and Star Trek: Beyond) received praise from both fans and critics, while the 2nd movie (Star Trek: Into Darkness) had a more mixed reception
