(Hey ym I’m interested in this if it’s ok, can we rp in private?

(That would have beeen fun, but for plot direction purposes, I had to come up with an OC instead)
 
That seems to be enough to satisfy Pharynx, and so the two changelings set off to the oasis.
 
The ‘oasis’ is really just the leftover pool from a geyser, and its waters are too hot and chemically hostile for anything to grow around it, save for colorful colonies of bacteria. And dragons, of course. They love that crap. The beast in question is already in the water when the two changelings arrive, undulating like a sea monster. As he rises his head from the water like a periscope, he lets out a burst of steam like the blow of a whale. Then he spots the ‘dragon chick’ and his pink scales glow red. “Whoah! Hey, not cool to sneak up on a guy when he’s bathing!” he protests covering himself up with his hands, looking adorably bashful in his grumpiness.

_{“Pharnyx… that cult isn’t going to collapse, what with the support of the blasted Elements behind it.”} She sighs, shaking her head. “Fine, fine. I’m not doing the succubus bit, just in case he’s into that sort of thing.”

The dragon chick nods softly. “We shall. One last thing though…” and here Pharynx leans in close enough that her nose presses against Ichorite for emphasis as she scowls. “We are NOT going ‘whole hog’!” she explains, making airquotes with her talons. “We are going ‘verrrrry dainty slice of bacon’ here. I have no intention of joining the lollypop guild back home, but I’m not going rogue either. I don’t wanna start an underground rebellion. I’m just gonna keep the old changeling torch burning while I sit back and wait for this milquetoast cult to collapse. Then I’m gonna be there for Thorax to pick up the pieces.” Pulling away from Ichorite, she takes a step back and relaxes her stance a bit. “Now, I don’t have a say about what road you wanna pick, but I’m grateful for your company so far, and was hoping I could count on you in the future. So! You with me?”

“…If we’re stealing love, why not go the whole hog instead of the succubus bit? _{Found more stallions and ‘‘mares’’ that enjoyed that, actually…}” She grumbled, stretching as she shifted into a slightly older, quite a bit more curvy female dragon, before scrunching. _{“Ugh, never could get clothes and dragons to mix.”}
 
Then she shifted into a pony mare, tan and wearing an orange bikini with a towel over her shoulder. “Much better. Shall we?” Only the pale mane she had stayed the same, albeit a bit longer and not tied in a braid as it usually was.

Pharynx winces at the swat, and rubs his head looking sullen. “Damn, you’re just as bad as my bunkmates!” he grumbles.
 
At least he gets the message, though, and as the both of them reach the sand dune overlooking the oasis, he crouches low and peers carefully over the side. “Teenaged, or young adult. Male. About ten feet long from snout to tailtip. Slim build. Should be an easy job.”
 
A green flash follows, and now Ichorite is facing a trim golden young dragon chick in a skimpy red bikini and mirrored sunglasses, her purple headspikes tied back in twin pigtails. “Alright, here’s the plan, soldier! We’ll sneak in posing as spring breakers on holiday to get him to drop his guard. Mess around with his hormones a bit. Maybe… steal just a little bit of love from him. Just a taste! Just a sweet taste. Thorax will never know…” here the dragon chick stops to bite her lip, her eyes darting about as she breaks into a sweat. “Ahem… Anyway, then afterwards we morph into full succubus demon form, and that should freak him out enough to get him off our hair for good! And Thorax will never know. Never ever.”

Eventually she had plenty, and quite clearly expressed this by swatting him on the back of the head quite hard- she still trained, damnit. _{“Shut up already, Queen damn you, we’re nearly there!”}

As they marched their way through no-bugs-land, Pharynx proved quite chatty for someone on a stealth mission. After an hour of this, two things became quite apparent:
 
a) He was more than happy to bitch about his brother and his policies in excruciating detail.
 
b) He was not so forgiving about letting anybody else bitch about him in any form or way.
 
Yeah…
 
“..and so I told him,‘Thorax, I’m a changeling! I know just how to whisper, and I know just how to lie. I know just how to fake it, and I know just how to scheme. But making love out of nothing at all?? Pff! I don’t know how YOU do it!”
 
It was a long hike to the poison oasis.

She echs, grumbling, before finally replying “Bah, it’ll grow back. _{I need to cut it anyways… none of the barbers in the accursed vale take bits from changedlings… expect every one of us to be DTF for whatever we need…}” Resentment? Check. Irritation from being treated like a thot? Also check.

Pharynx laughed. “Like anybody in the hive needs any pushing! Now that they no longer have to work for their love, they gorge on the stuff to bursting!” Strapping on his swordbelt, the changeling eyed Ichorite with a cocky grin. “A dragon’s been spotted crashing in on the poisoned oasis. Might be fun shooing him off, if you’re not afraid of getting that nice mane singed.”

“Eugh. Fat chance. Quite literally, am i going mad, or are they pushing some of the other female drones to consume more nowadays?”
 
“Regardless, where are we patrolling today?” Ichorite asked, casually wringing out her mane- it was a pain to care for, but at least the ponies had a redeeming quality. She’d wasted no time appropriating said quality, and it had managed to follow her through the… somewhat forced change. Thank the queen for small favors…

Just for this pose, I’m gonna take the liberty of describing what’s on your character’s head, but don’t worry. I won’t make a habit out of it. Ahem.
 
 
The next few weeks prove a trial for Ichorite. Everything that was cherished and familiar about her home seemed to vanish as fast as a song, and quite often accompanied by one. Proud, seasoned warriors she had once looked up to now engaged in public hugging, and other even more shameful and sickening displays. Drills, war games, marches and training exercises were replaced by conjugal workshops, tantric massage therapies, sexual technique PSAs and friendship orgies. Playing along was insufferable. Sulking meant inviting unwelcomed concern. Open complaining risked shunning or worse.
 
Thank the Hive Above for Pharynx! Without him, she would have surely gone on a flyswatting spree by the first week. Even if his loyalty to Chrysalis was questionable at best, his steadfast dedication to the old ways and open challenge to that doofus Thorax still gave her some comfort when nothing else seemed to. Sure, it was an open secret that for all his bravado, he dared not steal love anymore, but had to rely on his own brother’s clandestine… ah, ‘donations’to get by, but beggars can’t be choosers.
 
And speak of the weebil, here he was now. His chitinous armor no longer bore the Queen’s sigil, but thankfully no new one had been devised by Thorax to replace it yet. “’Bout time you showed up, Ichorite! I was starting to think these candyasses had gotten to you too, and that I would do my patrol alone.”

Oookay. So your character was a changeling who was in the bathroom when the whole Glimglam vs Chryssy scene played out, and when she emerged, everyone was like “Hey <insert bug anatomical feature name here>! Guess what? We’re all good now! So let’s get you out of that nasty old black exoskeleton and into a stylish new drunken-dr-who-at-a-thrift-shop candy armor!”
 
That was meant to be a question, not a statement. Anyway, would your story arch begin at the Goody Goody bug hive? Or would you somehow have arrived at this new one instead?

But let’s start with the regretful nuling, and then we’ll move to the other one once i decide why s/he would be looking for or in the area of a changeling hive of all things.

Then i decided a student of the Faber Mystico was uh… a bit too autistic, even for me.

You wish to play a changeling that was stuck with Thorax even though she wanted to stay with Chrysalis? That can work, sure.
 
I’m just a little confused. I understand your first pose was was meant to be joking a bit, but I still understood it to mean that you didn’t wish to play a changeling, or at least not a villanous one. Whatever you wish to play we can work out. I just wish to make sure I’m understanding you. :)

But that’s the point- she didn’t want to be friendly but was kept from the queen by (insert method of restraint or distraction here).

That regrets reforming? Sure! That, or just shapeshifting to look like a non-reformed one.
 
But frankly I emphasized the point that Chrissy didn’t raise them herself to give some leeway in case you wanted to play a changeling that was friendlier with humans than the queen would have liked. Just an extra option.
