I could give a few ideas, yet I was interested to see how another artist might design him based on the details I gave above.

That is my OC Autumn Harvest, I created him back in 2011. This post is about my interest in making a new OC, most likely a crystal pony instead of a pegasus.

Just ideas for his design actually, the only concrete thing I had in mind was that he would be a crystal pony.

By a “rigid set” I basically meant allowing artist creativity rather than telling/being told exactly what to draw/write.

Sorry for late reply, had an internet outage. What do you mean by a rigid set?

Well, I was hoping there was an artist out there willing to create a design for a new Original Character for myself. However, I wasn’t expecting something drawn from an established design, rather let the artist use their creativity to make his design based on a few (flexable) traits I had in mind.
 
It’s rather unconventional, yet as a novice writer myself, I feel I can write more easily (and have a lot more fun in the process.) with just a few story elements rather than a rigid set to follow.

I feel ya on that. So what do you need again?

I’m farsighted, thus I’d like if my OC wore glasses.  
I also tend to wear a black or white & blue beret, so that’s also an optional accessory.
 
 
As stated before, I’m open to ideas and interpretation and any ideas are greatly appreciated. I don’t think I’m a overly picky person, but I’d like if the artist had fun in the creation as well. ^^

I’ve had the same OC since 2011 and it’s been on my mind for sometime now to update my OC to something that fits my personality better.
 
I originally made my OC a nature loving Pegasus because I found the pegasus to be the most interesting of the species, (alicorns not included. lol) as well as dreaming of being able to fly since I was very young, my favorite pony also happened to be a pegasus as well. (Fluttershy)
 
I have changed somewhat as a person, becoming less introverted and more active in my hobbies.
 
I realize there are specific places to commission an artist to draw your OC, what I’m hoping to find however, is an artist willing to give their artistic impression of my OC based off his personality, interests, favorite colors, etc…
 
Basing my OC off of a dream in 2011 was a half-baked idea and I was far too shy to ask this back then. A lot of quizzes I’ve took keep pointing to me being an earth pony, being a Taurus in reality, I can’t argue with that logic, but my inner rock and mineral lover tips me toward liking to be a crystal pony, as most are earth based.
 
Is there an artist out there willing to work with me on creating an OC based on mostly traits instead of visiual references? I realize personality traits do not define a being, but our personalities DO influence our outward apperances beyond typical stereotypes.
 
I’m of course willing to pay for any completed OC design that feels fitting.
