If you insist on keeping the 285 MB version, you could find somewhere else to upload it and then link to it in the description.
I’m pretty sure 11520x6480 is probably well past the point of diminishing returns for SFM pictures, though.

Also the largest image on the site is >>1262121 (deleted), weighing in at 35MB. IT almost certainly was the GIF optimizer just upsizing a file that was below 25MB when it was uploaded.

The site has a file size limit of 25MB, measured at upload.
However, our image processor/optimizer isn’t perfect, so occasionally (albeit rarely) it will cause an image to actually increase in size while processing. Sometimes this actually results in a file larger than the upload limit.

it was a sfm pic I wanted it to be SUPER clear so I just got 1080p nd multiplied it by 6 the image was clear but I take it the file size was too big for derpibooru to handle

I tried to upload what is decidedly an absurd file size(285mb) and it refused to show up… is there a file size limit? did I try to take the “absurd file size” tag to another level?
