You’ve never worked in position that was responsible for compliance in a business that was in multiple states, I’m guessing?
Because that is not even remotely how it actually works.

No, I haven’t worked in a business that works in multiple states at one time. However I take that you’ve never lived in the US beyond a short visit dear “welfare madness and exorbitantly high taxes on sores of products” Swede! Or should I say “TV taxation” Finn?

And then you have 50 different laws you have to comply with, instead of one. And if you’re operating in New York someone can still take you to court in North Dakota and now you also have “Interstate Trafficking” to deal with.
Congratulations on making the problem even worse.

Federal law is above State law, which is above city ordinances. States having different sets of laws does NOT=you having to obey or even agree with each of state laws be it via printed stuff or online. If you live in the jurisdictions of Ohio, Indiana or Maine you do not get sent to jail for doing things illegal within states like Texas or Arkansas. Plus, plaintiffs don’t always win; nor 90% of the time. Sometimes judicial cases are thrown out of court entirely

Yes, the problem being any user submission, including private messages, that contain any sort of promotion of prostitution / solicitation, are immediately the responsibility of the site, as in they’re treated as if the site itself is promoting prostitution. On a NSFW site, that’s several percentage points more likely to happen than on a SFW, and there’s far less a defence of “We didn’t expect this to happen, our site is not meant for this sort of content”, meaning much less leeway or sympathy from prosecutors. Yes, it’s speculative, but it’s a very possible application under the current writing, with a fairly dismal result.
There’s several reasons US-based sites have been coming down hard on NSFW, or just outright closing down, and SESTA-FOSTA’s potential for abuse / overzealous application is one of them.

Yeah, Prostitution regulation should be left to the states.

Oh yeah, America is just GREAT about not banning or imprisoning artists because they drew something that offended someone else who lives in a completely different state even though what they did in their own state was perfectly fine. I’m sure the site would survive there without a continually revolving suite of legal challenges from random states the site isn’t even hosted in, each with their own obscure and regressive laws that they still have on their books from before the civil war! After all, their current administration is SO tolerant of any content that they deem inappropriate for any audience. /s

While Republicans do have their share of idiotic bias and hypocrisy, Vice LLC is far from the best one can do to show that. Plus, Democrats, on average, manage to be worse when it comes to lying and making excuses for their wrongdoings.

I don’t know if the french government is wasting police resouces on loli/shota/similar material like S. korea is, but Considering the site owner is afraid of false CP charges by the french government, I strongly recommend moving to avoid the issue entirely, with america being the obvious place to go.

This is comming from a canadian who would host a site like this disregarding canada’s similar laws.

If you do not specify a field to search over, the search engine will search for posts with a body that is similar to the query's word stems. For example, posts containing the words winged humanization, wings, and spread wings would all be found by a search for wing, but sewing would not be.
