True, I guess it’s just that I made Dust to stick to “edgier” environments. He’s supposed to be a monster hunter pony while also being a gun for hire when it comes to bringing down big thugs no one else has the guts to confront like strong mob bosses or shadow government people…

Basically what zippy said, having such saturated colours is a good way to make your character stick out like a sore thumb among all the other pastel-coloured ponies. The stark contrast of the black and bright green mane is also pretty overwhelming. Such saturated colors and strong contrasts should be used pretty sparingly.
 
Just lightening the coat colour to be more in line with the general pastel look of ponies and restricting the use of bright green in the mane to small highlights would go a long way, i think.

Blending in isn’t really a bad thing, nor is it the same as being indistinct. It just means they fit into the general look of the show.  
Canon characters like the mane six all have distinct, unique and recognizable designs… and they all blend in with each other pretty well. You can tell them apart from each other instantly, but none of them really stand out more than the others. Not too much, at least :v  
The trick is to stand out while also blending in, if that makes any sense whatsoever :v

Oof, yeah, just a little. The markings are fine, but those colours are too saturated.

So you’re good with colors, right? Be brutally honest with me, does my OC have a color scheme problem? Some people have mentioned that to me, but like I just wanted him to be different from most ponies who always seem to blend in despite their good color pallets. I wanted to give Dust Rock the appearance like he’s from somewhere else, much like how you can tell with the Pillars. They definitely stand out because they legimately are from other areas, but also resemble that as well.
 
A better example is Gallus, like most didn’t take to his appearance, but they realized despite him not having a “true griffon color scheme” is also what made him stand out at least when it came to appearances.
