To be fair, the wonderbolts are pretty much a giant sack of fail; if your name’s not Starlight, Shining armor, or your an alicorn, you’re pretty much team red shirt in MLP. its like D&D with a 20th level wizard compared to a 5th level fighter :p

“Never do it”? Many of those teens were planning on it if they won the gauntlet of fire… We saw what Spike, one adult Dragon (when he grew from all his greed), did to Ponyville. The best flyers were easily beaten and dragons are immune/incredibly resistant to magic.

Umm… They weren’t fighting back… It was a race, not an assault (attacking the catapults would waste far too much time).

They would never do it because it have consequences. I bet they almost caused planetary extinction when they were young and inexperienced, they would not risk it now, or anytime in the future. And no, they’re not gods, I dunno where you even got that.

Honestly, with the exception of the adult dragons WHO WE DO NOT SEE IN THIS EPISODE, ponies could could probably beat the crap out of them fairly decently.

We can see from the gauntlet of fire that what amount to Catapults are more than capable of Taking out the teenage dragons, and ponies technology is WELL able to build those, if not canons, to say nothing of magic and airships.

the Dragons shown in gauntlet of fire really aren’t that much above pony’s weight class, and ponies seem to have the drastically outnumbers. If all the adults from the dragon migration joined in that’s another story, but the fact that not a SINGLE one of them was involved in the gauntlet makes me kind of think the adult dragons with hoards don’t really care too much about the dragonlord’s authority that much.

I need to send my me from the The Elder Scrolls universe or send some great wizards from the anime called Fairy Tail like Natsu Dragneel…

…And in retaliation, Celestia increases the solar radiation from the sun while it is over the dragons, bombarding them with lethal radiation, and Luna calls down meteors from space to totally wipe out any land the dragons have.
That’s some wild, WILD imagination based on nothing you have there friend.
Considering how many times we’ve seen the limits of their powers, to continue fangasiming about the sisters’ supposed all mighty power at this point is ridiculous. As if every previous example hadn’t been enough (and it was), in the Cutie Remark we saw that without the Elements every single villian had managed to throw Equestria upside down (even the FlimFlam brothers, though that’s more of a joke).

But look at Sombra. In the AU where he woke up, and there were no Mane6 power to stop him, he actually managed to throw Equestria into a terrible war where every single resource and pony was needed just so they wouldn’t lose…and Celestia was very clearly at the front of the fight. A fight with huge stakes.

Face it. Celestia and Luna are powerful, but definetly not on the “godlike” level a part of the fandom seems to like to think they are. They’re basically winged unicorns who have lived so long, they’ve had a long time to perfect and strengthed their magic and learn several spells.

Also, stuff like controlling the sun’s radiation and manipulating meteors is too far into fanfiction territory. The sisters can’t move the sun and moon because they actually have the power to move anything that big. That’s nonsense considerng their entire track record and actual limits. They can do it because that’s the spell their cutiemarks give them. Just like how in Canterlot Wedding Twilight said no one could create a barrier as powerful as Shining Armor’s, so he had to do it even though it was his wedding day. Because that’s his cutiemark spell. Its the same. That’s the reason the sisters can move the sun and moon.
