Putting the “artist:” tag of the editor on edited images has been common practice on Derpibooru since editing became a thing.
I have badumsquish’s permission to create a vector traced from his original “badumsquish kitties series”.
If the tag is wrong, you can edit it. The time I put the vector on Deviantart, I acknowledged him as the original creator of this vector series. I even put his Derpibooru link, on the description on D.A. And I’m happy that the uploader put his tag on the image, because I promised to credit him for this vector.

He is only making a cute Coloratura based on Badumsquish’s idea. This is not an edit, he made the vector from 0 ;)
