Yours is so bad that you can replace immortality with just life and nothing will change.

@O. Hancock
How else did Celestia become the unquestioned boss mare for all Equestria?
@Niggoslav_Krawczyk
“You may be immortal, my dear Twilight, but if you’re this stupid about it, it’ll hurt the entire time.”

Do you know what the healthy thing for an immortal pony to do after all her friends & family die is? Make new friends. They, too, will die and it will once again be time to make friends. Circle of life. It’s all impermanence.
nice!
Better course of action. Must admit that resurrective immortality is my favorite kind, because it does avoid the monotony that the age/complete immortality gives to your life while avoiding total cease of existence.
ABSOLUTELY!
Route: “You’re now gonna outlive your friends, family, and loved ones.”
Common Response: “No! Now my friends will die, and there’s nothing I can do to see them again! Why did you turn me into a goddess?!”
Logical Response: “Okay, then… guess I’ll go visit them in Heaven from time to time, and hang out while I’m off-duty. Or heck… Goddess, right? Reincarnation Spell, and I can invite them to my place whenever we want!”
Aye, one day!
…one day…
Sign me up and plug me in, I say :p
Same here!
Same. Though I’m like a few years older.
But I’m totally ready for technological immortality.
“We’re here to DESTROY CANADA!”
“Hoho, nope.”
Stereotypical Canadian border guard picks up your car and turns it around.

Well of course I don’t want to die.
And I don’t want to find out the purpose of life. I don’t think there’s one, but if I could be immortal, I would use that to do whatever I like, like pick my nose, humping player corpses in FPS for kicks anytime I got my chance, plotting to destroy Canada (They’ve had it too good for too long), or maybe just singing like an idiot all the day.
When you are immortal, the possibilities are limitless.
Principala Mathematica is from the 1700’s, yet we still teach Newton’s laws, which come from it.
And don’t even get me started on atomic theory (originally a Greek philosophy) and Pythagoras, or Algebra. Put simply, old does not mean wrong.
Though often it is less right than newer ideas, if one has superseded it, or the applicability of it is better understood.
@Twi_Clown
Immortal life is just life. I feel like if you find meaning in mortality, you’d find meaning in immortality, and if you don’t find meaning in immortality, you won’t find it in immortality, either.
Unless your preoccupation is fear of the inevitability of your own death. Then immortality will be a relief.
After thousand years living an watchin the indutrial revolution, empires rising and fall and all that shit, it may be boring to just standing there forever.
Althought, this could mean that I oculd prank people forever, which turns a former bad thing into a good thing.
Summed to the fact that you can get into the nerves of the Grim Reaper, maybe it worth it.
He’s referring to an outdated scientific article, and by definition obsolete.
