Since I have to get special ordered crown on my tooth, all I got was a temp thingy put in it to hold me over until I get the crown itself a week from today. It’s an exposed nerve, like I anticipated, and because my medicare/caid/whatever ran out at the turn of the year it’s going to be expensive. Even the dentist decided to cut us a deal and only make us pay insurance price for it, which is probably going to mean he’s only going to break even by doing this operation, if that. I feel a pretty big degree of guilt for that.
 
I’m just going to go torture myself by forcing myself to finish the anime that is going to make me nauseated by the ending of it, I guess. This is why I hate getting very invested into media - whenever I fully anticipate an ending I know I won’t like and have good reason to worry about such a thing, it’s just depressing.

So much for ever reconnecting with that imbecile. She decided to message me that she’s staying with him because “he really loves her”. Oh yes, the verbally abusive asshat who said he’s going to cheat on her during her periods, called her broken, and has repeated threatened her really fucking loves her.
 
 
I told her to fuck off and never contact me again. She’s made her bed, now she damn well better sleep in it. I am livid at this point. Least I’ll finally be rid of her stupidity!

So, I’ve been watching this absolutely fantastic anime called Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru. For a harem anime, it has extremely strong and engaging characters and I find myself very actively rooting for the success of the ones I like most. I get kind of animated when something embarrassing or silly or funny happens and there’s times where I find myself audibly laughing despite it being in the early hours of the morning and I’m in a room by myself. I’m really enjoying everything and it feels great.
But there’s just that part of me that anticipates disappointment in everything - it’s a huge downer to my mood when I’m having so much fun watching how the story unfolds and feeling such strong desires to see Chiwa or A-chan be the one to win over the MC, but then I just have the sinking feeling that the one who will win will be Natsukawa, who I don’t really like and is a pretty dull character in her own right. I know one of the four girls actually win in the end, unlike most harem animes, but I didn’t have it spoiled which one. So I just find myself completely anticipating the outcome I don’t want and it just brings my enjoyment down pretty significantly. It goes as far as to where I’m thinking “How should I act about this when I post about how I feel about the ending in the anime thread?” and I start thinking of over-exaggerated ways to express myself for an attempt at a joke of sorts, like acting super angry or acting super bummed out, while I should be watching the show.
I miss having fun.

Sadly this is exactly what I was thinking ever since you first mentioned your friend. I mean, as much as I don’t want anyone to suffer from an abusive relationship, at the same time I find her approach to her own problem very unbecoming. I was just hesitant to say anything about it until now thinking I would get flamed to hell for it.
 
I don’t know your friend very well so I can’t fully judge her relationship, but from what I usually research about abusive relationships, the reason the abused person doesn’t leave is supposedly because they don’t want the relationship to end, they just want the violence to end. They don’t like the aggression that’s being done to them, but it’s possible they’ve also developed an emotional bond to the abuser. It’s mind boggling but I think I can sort of understand what might be going on in their mind.

Sorry to hear about your tooth problem. I hope it gets fixed but I also know how it is when you feel as though you’re cheating someone of their earnings. Your dentist sounds altruistic, there’s that at least. Good luck with the crown.

I’m sick of people treating me like a piece of shit on this site, and I’m not going to put up with it anymore. I treat all of you with the respect you deserve, and I expect the same, but I don’t get it. That’s why I asked repeatedly if there was a way to block fucktards from talking to me, but there apparently isn’t. If I need to go on another 6 month hiatus to restore my sanity and rid myself of you shitheads I will do that. Maybe I won’t come back next time. I’m sure you’d all love that.
