Man, this series is starting off so fun, I can’t wait for more!

Gotenks will forever be known as “That guy who just served to kill time”

Apparently, the first 2 episodes of Super are slice-of-life, with the 2nd having Vegeta and his family going on a vacation. This is going to be fun. Also, how’s the animation of Super?

Personally, it doesn’t look that better than Kai.
 
The old animation has really aged well all things considered

Yeah. For ’90s animation, it still looks pretty good today. Just look at the Frieza fight. Hell, dare I say, they even look better than some Shonen shows today. Then again, DBZ had one of the best animation an anime could have in the ’90s. Filler aside.

Even the filler was pretty well animated at times.

It’s actually really surprising how fights like the Vegeta fight, the Frieza fight and so many others still look good even a decade later. I mean, even without the digital remastering Kai did, the fights have this sense of impact that I don’t think other shows have ever successfully replicated to this day.

The culmination of that (That Kai pretty much butchered) was Gohan transforming in SSJ2.
 
That was as good as Dragon Ball was going to get in my opinion. Come the Majin Buu Arc and I was right.

Well, the Majin Buu arc was never as good as the Cell arc anyway. It had some decent things in it, like Super Buu and Kid Buu, but even then, they were never as good as Frieza or Cell.

I can say they had moments that were just as good, but moments nonetheless.
 
Gotenks and Piccole, Mystic Gohan and Mr Satan helping with the Genkidama among my favorites

Yeah, let’s face it. That pretty much redeemed Mr Satan. Then again, seeing him being scared of Trunks was hilarious. Too bad Kai cut out the part with the film about how Mr Satan “beat” Cell.

Anything filler is out, that being said there was some good filler worth keeping.
 
That one, when Goku is searching the Dragon Balls and finds Tao Pie Pie…

Oh man, I love that episode. Shame that had to be cut out. Sure, it was for better flow, but it was still really funny.

So, anyone give me a good argument as to why Gotenks was relevant. He’s pretty much official filler!

Well, if Gotenks wasn’t eaten by Super Buu, then Vegito didn’t have to be swallowed by Buu which would cause Super Buu to turn into Kid Buu.

How come Fat Buu still exists at the same time as Kid Buu?!

Remember? He was swallowed by Evil Buu and was then rescued by Vegeta and Goku.
