The biggest spoiler for godzilla vs Kong

Best part was a movie about a tower sized iguana and monke fighting each other and a robo-iguana piloted by the head of a space snake was them dunking on that trend.

I loved that part. I don’t think I laughed during a Godzilla (or Kong) movie as much since that scene in GMK where Godzilla’s tail smashed a girl in a hospital. It’s funnier than it sounds,trust me.

In all seriousness One problem I do have as the movie
 
|| really it was more of a King Kong movie guest starving godzilla.  
But at least Kong does A lot of screen time ||

Also the technology use to control mechagodzilla was used to make the yeagers in Pacific them you cannot change my mind

Granted considering how much Kong gets thrashed it’s nice to see him get some good screentime. Helps prop up his underdog status.

My speculation on the near end scene of GvK
 
Their last stand off after they had destroyed mechagodzilla wasn’t a show of respect to each other but rather a “we’re not finished yet but i’ll see you again next time” moment.

I like how MonsterVerse had improve the movements of their monster cgi’s through the years. The 2014 movie made Godzilla look heavy and slow and as the sequels progresses, the choreograph of the cgi gets better.

I kinda liked how lumbering G was in the 2014 film. Really sold how huge he was. Later on they didn’t quite lose that, but eh.

Surprised that monke didn’t tank Big G’s atomic breath unlike every other kaiju.

Me who has zero interest in the MonsterVerse:
 

Godzilla: If I’m ever away, then Mothra is in charge. If we’re both away, then it’s Kong.

Godzilla: True but unlike you guys, Kong is at least responsible. He’s not a dumbass like you Rodan and definitely not a psychopath like Ghidorah.

Dying Light’s Virals are the most inconsistent fuckers ever.
 
The game shoves the whole “SOUND ATTRACTS THEM” trope/cliche down your throat 24/7 yet sometimes they appear in groups of 4-6 behind you anyway when you’ve been quiet as a mouse.
 
How the hell does me crouching and looting boxes inside a house attract a horde of them?
 
Dead Island had a similar issue with the Fresh Infected but at least sound wasn’t a major element in that game.

The best part is that G is powering his atomic breath each smash. Almost like MechaG is triggering an involuntary jolt.

Kong: Big G you ain’t comin’ back?  
Godzilla: Nah man, I retired. My contract’s up.

I’m willing to bet that the Devil (I know they call him The Dark Lord but whatever) creating God in that Universe certainly rustled somebody’s jimmies.

Just got back from Godzilla Vs. Kong and man was it something.  
I pretty much knew from tue day this was announced that MechaGodzilla would be brought in at the end and the two would join together to fight, either that or Mecha Ghidorah because of the end credit scene from King of the Monsters (though they did incorporate Ghidorah’s head into the story quite well and used this mind control helmet reminiscent of Rugrats in Paris)  
There were lots of cool callbacks like when Kong shoves the bone axe into Godzilla’s mouth like he did in the original with the tree, the fight against those bat snakes reminded me of the pleasiosaur fight from the 1933 King Kong, and even pumping Kong’s heart with electricity is like Kong getting stronger from lightning in the old GvK.  
My only problems with the movie is that there is a little too much focus on Kong then Godzilla and the human stories aren’t all that interesting but other then that this was a blast if you are a kaiju fan.

Also, before APEX got the power source they said that Mechagodzilla could only operate at 40% power, and using his laser drained all of it. That’s a sly reference to Mechagodzilla 3 (Kiryu’s iteration) using 40% of his battery per use of the Absolute Zero Cannon.
 
The movie had a bunch of fun little easter eggs.
