When it comes to Mathcore, it’s either Converge or Gaza.

Gaza are pretty boring to me and I never really considered Converge to be Mathcore, their 90s stuff could count but Jane Doe and onwards is pure Metalcore. Id list The Chariot, Heavy Heavy Low Low, The Number 12 Looks Like You, The Dillinger Escape Plan, Protest the Hero, SikTh, pre-2014 Architects, Car Bomb, Botch, Fear Before the March of Flames, and Beecher as my favorites for Mathcore.

Maybe, although I consider Axe to Fall their best. I haven’t fully heard the others with the exception of TDEP and Architects’s last album before their guitarist’s abrupt death.

Okay, having listened again to the new Gorillaz song, the only downside I can see is that the featured artist’s vocals take a little time to get used to.

I cant stand the last two Architects albums they feel too djent breakdown-core for my tastes, Hollow Crown and Ruin are them at their best. Gaza just play their sound too safe I feel as if they constantly just do the most average of Chaotic Hardcore and do nothing but make the same ol average album. No Absolutes In Human Suffering is their best but it still doesnt do anything that other bands have done much better. Surprised that youve never listened to Botch.

THANK YOU SOMEONE ELSE SAID IT!!!! I have two friends who disagree with me and say that I Don’t Care Where I Go When I Die is their best and I just groan. THAT album is boring as hell. Any album to rec?

I actually forgot about Dinosaur Jr for a while then recently remembered them, should maybe listen to one of their albums again sometime.
