You can actually join the Master’s side in the first fallout game, it’s just that doing so gives you a game over.

Eh, I think it’s okay. The tribals portion kinda meanders but otherwise you jumping into a centuries long duel with what’s-their-names and finding out the minor mystery of who cut out your brain are nice plot details.

That’s unsatisfying. It’s like if had VN have a game over screen if you decide to join Ceaser. Also, I love NV’s ending slide much more than the other games. Beth should do that instead of the “You did good, kid” ones in 3 and 4.

Doesn’t the ending slides tell you otherwise? I mean, in 4, I’m convinced that what determines if synths have a soul or not depends on which faction you choose. Man, a Fallout tabletop game where you can play a synth would be fun.

I often side with the evil factions in most games. They tend to be the most fun.
