Pony Venting Thread

Now that I think about it, it’s a little bit frustrating that Twilight came to rule over a world that doesn’t seem to value her natural talents. She’s smart, independent, forward-thinking, organized, and skilled at magic. But she doesn’t get to be the hero because of these traits, she gets to be the hero because she’s the one who can get the Deus Ex Machina to activate.

I feel bad for anyone who grew up on the previous MLP gens (and to an extent G5) and seeing G4 fans shitting on them constantly, while also treating G4 as this holy, untouchable, perfect masterpiece that cannot be topped.
Regardless of quality, there are still fans of the previous (and current) gens. They matter just as much as G4 fans. I mean, without Gen 1, we wouldn’t even have G4 to begin with. I don’t see fans of the previous gens going after FIM and its fans, at least to my knowledge, but G4 fans just tend to act like a bunch of self-absorbed, entitled pricks when it comes to the previous gens and their fans.

Yeah. I haven’t seen as many people do it, but occasionally I have when looking at them. But not much of them getting angry at the fans and such. But I think G1, G2 and G3 are good in their own unique ways.

G1 is gorgeous to look at. G2 looks cute and has possibly meant a lot to a whole bunch of people, despite how mush time it was around, G3 is cute and has its own charm. I still have my G3 Scootaloo brushable. She’s has had better days, the mane seems to have been cut. But G3 Scootaloo will always have a place in my heart

I grew up with G1 first, then G4 came later

Praising G4 as this holy, untouchable, perfect masterpiece that cannot be topped was stupid from the start. I literally just pointed out how many episodes I dislike on the other thread. It has its flaws too.

There was one guy that was just constantly spamming screencaps from the latest TYT episode on the front page and I’m like “Why is it that important to get every little frame?”

I like it when there’s one specific shot I’m looking for.

But otherwise there’s a lot of meh stills that just clogs up the uploads.

I still have abuse screenshot edits of a particular character (that I’ve only ever shown one ever person) on my art app. They’re just taking up space, most of them aren’t good enough to be uploaded. But I don’t wanna delete them. It’s werid. I guess I’ll keep them as a reminder

I only use 4: ICloud (family photos, music), Googledrive (business stuff), Mediafire (for apps and files), and my favorite Mega (for personal media).

Same reason many things get posted. Someone with a little… obsession issue of some sorts.

Before G4, cartoons in general aimed at preteen girls had a reputation for being mindless fluff (which in the case of G3.5 at least wasn’t entirely undeserved).

I feel I’m venting for something stupidly menial, and honestly it’s partially to blame the lack of screentime here the writers made but…

Isn’t it innapropiate Twilight Sparkle and Celestia get some focus in mother’s day despite the fact is TWILIGHT VELVET the mother of Twilight Sparkle? And is not even a case of a bad mother since with what the very little we saw is implied they do keep a good contact and outside the Iron Will incident it’s always implied they have a good relationship.
