This isn’t the Marvel movies, it’s MLP. So quit trying to take it so seriously.
I don’t think it is. And we didn’t see any of the Storm Creatures ended up getting their nails paints. Despite we see two of them in the trailer. Even the quote, “Are your nails painted pink?” which is said by Tempest Shadow, didn’t make it into the final cut of the film.
But the Storm Creatures were more hostile to Equestria. And Fluttershy is possibly trying to tame that beast as well. And Fluttershy would have turne around away from the Storm minion but turn around again to beat him up in a similar fashion to the Destroyer from “Thor” or that licorice men from Annoying Orange - Ask Orange #11. But she didn’t.
Derpy didn’t make a sacrifice at the beginning of the movie. She didn’t see the obsidian orb that Tempest hurled because she was caught in the crossfires.

She’s pretty much the only cute pony in FiM. The other ponies suck when compared to her.
