Hasbro; common sense is something we ignore!
And his body parts kept falling off comically/grossly. lol
Or when in Anastasia the villain was a walking zombie
I even remember some Disney animated movies, and such had actual blood in them.
I think kids can handle some scary/violent things if in moderation, or if they are not too overboard. Alot of kid stuff has scary stuff, just look at classic fairy tales.
And I grew up with freakin DBZ, so this whole thing makes no sense really.
Also even Disney movies back then where scary as hell (or at least real adult and intense if you think about it)
Frollo trying to hit on an underage lady, Scar trying to kill his nephew as a cub, and hagar’s assassination attempt on Aladdin.
Not even scratching the surface, but I know one that was; Watership Down.
And those were rabbits!!!!
I dunno, Hasbro/DHX has inconsistent standards when it comes to what’s “violent,” or what’s “not.”
Heck, I saw some bronies try to claim that whole “Twilight VS Tirek” scene was “too violent for kids.” (Which I don’t agree with. Heck, my neices love Jurassic Park, and such violent movies.)
So tirek tackling twilight through a mountain doesn’t count?
That was an accident, and done for comical effect. Stuff like serious punching/fighting isn’t allowed apparently.
In episode one they literally had rainbow dash full speed ram twilight
Even without it, they probably couldn’t get away with Discord tackling him, and such.
I literally just said not bloody.
Because shooting magical blasts isn’t as “violent,” and because the fight didn’t solve the conflict. (Obviously, they don’t want to teach kiddies that “violence solves problems.”)
In fact according to Megan McCarthy Hasbro mandated during that sequence that “Twilight couldn’t punch Tirek in the face,” (the image of her saying this is on this site somewhere) so if they can’t even do that, obviously they wouldn’t be able to get away with something like this. (Especially, the blood.)
Edited
I mean, not bloody of course, but you get the idea.
Plus why not like how they did Tirek and twilight?
He is. Read the wiki.
mlp doesn’t really do battles like this
so what is he, then?
Yep.
