I really don’t think she’ll end up bald. The synopsis says she’ll be trying to “fix her devastated mane”, so it’s more than likely still there, just really badly damaged.
 
Or, knowing Rarity, maybe it’s just green. That would probably be enough.

Oh, I’m defeantly done with Daring.

Unless Starlight shows up in some of the revealed episodes (like she did in the Maud one), then it doesn’t look like there will be a “new Mane Six” since she still needs to make three more friends before the end of the season.
 
Though I won’t be surprised if Thorax’s brother ends up being one of them both by going to live in Ponyville as an envoy and to “learn friendship” from Starlight.

So basically this season the Map was only brought up twice?

Map has gone the way of Rainbow Power, it seems. Unless A Royal Problem ends up being a map episode, which still doesn’t make much sense as Starlight does not have a throne.

Also, I can’t see how Shadowlock’s piddly arc can tie with the cartoon episodes revealed so far.  
Man, this is why that “Filler season” meme became a thing.

Probably that weird changeling monster thing shown at the very end is what he was trying to “erase”. Which the villain in the finale will probably only vaguely resemble if at all.

At this point, I honestly wonder if the extent of Shadowlock’s story “tying in” to season 7 was simply in a thematic sense (his story was about his family and legacy and whatnot, and family & legacy are the major themes of season 7) and Shadowlock and his ancestor will not be referenced in any way whatsoever in the show.
 
Like I’ve said before, things don’t seem to have changed all that much, it’s just that the comics tie into show events a bit more but the show still won’t have many references to the comics, if any at all.

I really hope they keep these references super minor (and preferably don’t do ‘em at all). I’d hate to have to be expected to start buying and reading those comics too just to get the full understanding of the story D:

Like I said, I don’t think much has changed except that the comics more frequently reference show events, rather than the other way around.
 
So far, the closest we’ve had to a comic reference in the actual show was O&O, and even then the show called it “Ogres & Oubilettes” and not “Oubilettes & Ogres”. We’ve had several references to the chapter books in the show, though.

Well it looks like this season was more back loaded on promising episodes this time around, not that the season hasn’t been good so far but wow am I interested in these upcoming episodes.
 
Swamp Fever Episode: Fluttershy actually doing something that is both interesting and in character for her? Amazing… shame that another upcoming episode spoiled the outcome, but lets be honest not even Zecora was going to die in a children’s show.
 
Changelings Part V: Oh look it turns out that not all the changelings are good and the horde of overeager doomsayers were proven incorrect yet again, although this episode does have me somewhat concerned that they will ultimately be right depending how the episode goes… still fingers crossed for interesting lore and such.
 
Bald Rarity: Looks neat, I am of the opinion that Rarity is best pony and I could see a potentially great lesson in there if all goes well.
 
Lead Zeppelins: I like zeppelins and I like Twilight getting episodes, hopefully this will bring the best of both of those things.
 
Camp CMC: I really want to see how the notStarlight filly is portrayed but it’s an interesting premise regardless.
 
Party of Two: Rehash of a good episode is hopefully good as well.

Hopefully the episodes prove me wrong once they air, but as far I can see, this season literally went nowhere.
