I am excited for Movie 4.
Even if Silver wasn’t teased, my boy may have to wait another movie, but Amy anf Metal is certainly a good combo.

Considering that the first movie was still a bit on the general side when it came to live action cgi hybrids.
You could say the first movie walked , so the movie Sequels could run

I don’t believe he said he wasn’t actually retiring just massively slowing down.
just being more choosy. On the movie he does do.
Also, the postcredit scene is the same.Well, that guy survived we go on the second one. I think if I did actually kill him. They would show the body. There was at least 2 dead bodies in this movie and one of them was a child.
But at the same time, you can’t have a most villain in every single time

Ate your lunch, sorry.
The movie is by far the best in the trilogy.
My favorite part being the “Live and Learn” remix playing while Super Sonic and Super Shadow battle Gerald’s GUN Hunter Swat-bots in an epic space battle. The entire theater cheered when the pink one appeared during the stinger. I was very happy to see Metal Sonic one of my favorite Sonic characters during the stinger too. Though, I’m not sure how to feel about there being more than one, and kinda reducing the character to a Metal mook.
@SleepySteve
Actually, I hear Jim Carry said he’s coming back out of retirement. I also can’t imagine them doing a Sonic 4 without Robotnik.

Speaking of villains, I like that Shadow’s origins while different from the games was done in a way where they could still add elements from the games; Shadow wasn’t created by Gerald using DNA from Black Doom, but Shadow did arrive to Earth in a meteorite so it can still suggest Shadow came from the Black Arms world therefore Black Doom could especially come to Earth looking for him.

I mean Eggman has always been the main villain of the franchise so it’s a tricky situation when it comes to casting him, but yes Carrey did such a great job that of course they’d always find a way to bring him back.
That said though I agree that it would be time to move onto other villains from the franchise, Metal Sonic showing up at the end definitely opened that up, we also have Chaos, Dark Gaia, the Deadly Six, Infinite, Eggman Nega, and the Knuckles show did reference Iblis so he could return along with Mephiles.

Actually the Released Ice Cap Version wasn’t MJ truly, it was a straight Brad Buxor produced one & was based of The Jetzons unreleased Song “Hard Times”. :)

Seeing a lot of people theorize Robotnik survived the Eclipse Cannon explosion because Shadow also survived it. That makes sense given Carrey’s Robotnik is such a fan-favorite iteration and you just want to keep seeing him come back, but Carrey’s pretty much done with his career at this point so it makes sense to move on to other villains, which there are a lot of in the Sonic-verse.

Hot take, I kinda prefer prototype Ice Cap to release Ice Cap. The MJ version is a bit too repetitive for my tastes while the prototype version is snowy joy distilled into 16 bit music form.

Eeyup it was indeed because of how the Soundchip why MJ wasn’t 100% satisfied with it, I mean he was a Perfectionist after all.

IIRC MJ’s name got removed from the credits because of the scandal but Sega used his music (or some of it at least) in the final game anyway. Apparently he or his agent got pissed and sued them, which might explain why Sonic 3 hasn’t been as widely available as the other two games and Sonic & Knuckles (and I believe the current versions circulating have the offending music replaced).

One thing I can’t get over is that Sony almost did these movies (because Neal Moritz got the film rights while he was based there and then took them with him when he jumped ship to Paramount) and I shudder to think how they could’ve ruined them like they ruined Spider-Man.

Unfortunate though that no Michael Jackson Reference in some Shape or Form was in the Movie, I guess doing anything MJ-related would be too Expensive. :o
