There’s now rumors (let me repeat that, “RUMORS”) that Zazzy and WB are considering selling the whole “Looney Tunes/Merry Melody” franchise.
Which if true, is honestly insane. That’d be like Disney selling Mickey Mouse, and friends, or Nintendo selling the Super Mario franchise.
Bugs Bunny is practically the mascot of WB.
And before anyone says, “That’d be a good thing,” consider that another company might treat them even worse, or even ban them for being “outdated/offensive,” or something, or do more online takedowns.
(Remember when white people tried to ban Speedy Gonzales for being “offensive?” Yet, the Mexican people and American Hispanics came to his defense, as he’s very popular in Mexico, and Latin cultures/countries.)
Don’t know who could buy Looney Tunes, maybe Viacom/Nickelodeon, (at least Nick still allows the original TMNT cartoons on DVD, and streaming) or possibly something else.
