Should a picture containing a three-person ship be tagged with the “component” ships in addition to the main one? What I mean is, if there’s a picture with AxBxC in it, should it only be tagged AxBxC, or should it also be tagged with AxB, BxC and CxA?

Typically whichever pairs are interacting, for instance a spitroast where B is in the middle would not have the shipping tag for AxC unless A and C are also being intimate with each other in some way during, like kissing or something.

Well, the stuff I usually look for tends to be… let’s a lot more vanilla than that, so let’s say a picture where someone drew their OT3 in non-sexual or post-sexual intimacy… or to can it with the unhelpful generalities, let’s say this picture here, which would be the one that got me started on all this:
 

 
Since none of them are actually interacting, as such, do I just tag none of the individual pairings?

I think it’d be fair to add all three shipping tags considering the picture on the nightstand of them getting married. Notably, Twilight and Luna are both brides, while Tempest is the groom, and Twilight and Luna are kissing. That’s enough to merit all three individual shipping tags.
 
In a more general sense, though? I think it comes down to artist’s intent. There are plenty of OT3s that act more like love triangles, in which case it wouldn’t make sense to ship the two vying for the third’s love.

Given Spike’s reaction to cold temperatures in Winter Wrap-Up, I’d have to argue that this is at the least more harmful than intended. Of course, I’d label that incident Spike abuse as well.

Sure looks abusive to me; they’ve put him in a situation he’s clearly not enjoying and has limited ability to escape from, and they’re just… laughing at him. Luna is threatening who even knows what with that carrot.
 
It’s as well-drawn as all of W-L’s stuff, but it’s also kinda gross.

I would have to agree. It looks like they’re putting him in a visibly uncomfortable and at least somewhat humiliating situation because they find it amusing to do so. It may be emotional abuse rather than physical abuse, but abusive behavior it remains.

I just saw it as no more harmful or insulting than a cartoon gag. :L

I mean, I’ve seen people tag slapstick as Spikebuse, which I’ve seen happening a lot.  
Stuff that people have no problem happening to others character is suddenly abuse when Spike’s the one on the receiving end.

Speaking from experience of walking into and out of that hell of the “scootabuse” tag, no its not comical.

That image of spike in the snowman wouldn’t really qualify as spike abuse, he’s not being harmed, he’s just mildly peeved about it.
 
As for images of legit “abuse” though, there are a lot that are drawn for the intent of humour, because we degenerates can find abuse funny sometimes, depending on the context, like throwing things at fluttershy.
