I used to absolutely love Foamy the Squirrel, but the rants have devolved from exaggerated logic to just being a mouthpiece for the artist to bitch about whatever he feels like bitching about. Also, the story of Neurotically Yours was nuked to hell with the whole “Story within a story” bs that Jon Mathers did recently, which felt like a super lazy excuse for him to jump between the different Germaines rather than stick to any of the story he started laying out after the first Reboot.

TCW and Rebels had limitation of keeping up with movie canon so they can’t go to far away with more aliens. They still put alot more aliens than live action could ever do (and much better than many books or games did it this aspect).

Empire racism is EU invention, movies never stated any reason for human only Empire and not sure if current canon have any info about it too.
But this is in universe explanation for problem I have with setting where there is no justification for it to not be problem.
Also this is reason for non Empire organisation doing it, are Rebellion are also racist but only less than Empire?

False equivalence any earth animal is not same thing as sapient alien species. You should treat animal like human but if we ever meet non human being what can be qualified as sapient species with civilization like humans, they should be treated more like humans than animals.
There will be racial subtext whatever you want or not when having 2 different species no matter how their relations will be presented.

Humanity is only example of inteligent life what created civilization what we know, so its fine if this influence design of aliens, since all those starfish alien designs are guessing work.
I will be fine if they just made aliens who dont look like humans with some rubber ears or foreheads or make up. I prefer completely inhuman aliens but I will satisfied with that too.
This extend to all fiction, like fantasy. Sure it may not be realist (but again guessing aliens will never be realistic without any frame of reference) or hard sci fi but sci fi can also solf and unrealistic and still be good.
Non humans still having humanlike society and mentality is fine too since its even harder to make in any way to be not shallow and not having every member of such species behaving and thinking in same way, not to mention making it reliable for viewer/reader so they could be protagonist or POV chars.
I find complains about this aspect really odd considering we are on MLP board.
