I feel for you.
Had a pet died on us long ago. Been with the family for four years before it’s passing. Died from a accident. I suppose it must feel even worse if you been the guy taking care of it.
Whatever the outcome is, I hope you can go through it somehow. We is here for moral support just in case.

I want to get IT work, so I can sit at home drinking, googling on my problems, and drawing porn while telling people over the phone that Desktop computers need to be plugged in to work.

Make too much money and people just attach to your life. The little money I make right now already has an overweight cat sleeping on my desk.

Nothing is more sad than a kitty that won’t eat.

It’s not as glamorous as it sounds lol.

I basically herd cats. Overpaid, flashy cats who never fill out their paperwork and whose mastery of computers extends to, and stops at, hitting the on switch.

The woods behind my neighborhood are being cleared of ash trees that could fall on somebody’s property. I figured they’d fell trees along the property line. No big deal. What I did not anticipate was that they would take a bulldozer and clear cut a 50 foot swath, putting a fucking road behind my house for every busybody son of a bitch to walk on.

This new bus route can kiss my ass, been waiting for like more than two hours for it to get here and the site where it tracks it is glitchy as shit where I can’t tell if it’s moving or not. Change it back to the old route, it was much better and the schedule times were much consistent instead of whenever it wants. So irritated right now…

Good thing you said that it is the worst time to say that, because it is. I would buy one if I had my driver’s license which I don’t.

I’m barely holding together day by day anymore and I don’t know what to do about it, if I can do anything. I’m constantly at my limit and on the verge of total collapse mentally.

Another slow day, from the looks of it, and no sign of if the boss is sending us home early or not.

EDIT:Never mind. It’s a surprise special project. Even worse than a slow day.

Finally back home, Jesus. I should’ve been home and under the covers like two hours ago…

Lovely. The police just issued an alert about catalytic converter thefts starting up around here. Likely meth heads.

Also me: Backs off to avoid giving him attention and thus even more screwy fetish-y commissions. You know, avoiding the “Streisand Effect”, where an attempt to censor something causes more attention to be brought onto it?

I unsurprisingly bursted crying again today.

I know from the distance if we bring Sasha back to the vet this friday, they will announce that she is diagnosed with Kidney Failure and hence it’s only a matter of time when she will give in to life. They might suggest of putting her down for good.

She is my first personal pet. A rescued stray on the streets. She has been under my wing for 5 years right now which is unusual because cats can live as far as 12 years if taken care on average.

My aunt who is also a veterinarian told me to prepare myself from something like this since unexpected things like this can suddenly happen to most owners that they didn’t even know they’re already suffering it in the first place. I wish I knew it as early as the onset of this illness or knowledge about these guys’ illnesses before they even get it.

As of now, she just doesn’t eat nor drink anything anymore unless we force-feed her. Water mixed with monohydrate dextrose powder, her usual canned food, and syringe then carefully shooting it on her side of the mouth every hour. She seriously need all that nutrients in order to survive…

All the other cats I’ve seen on the Internet that’s dying from the same illness, they’re all over 15 years of age… human equivalent of an 80 year old person.

My cat on the other hand has just turned 5 years old last month.

I wonder if there’s a chance of survival for cats of my cat’s age against acute kidney disease. We still can’t tell yet if the kidney has collapsed. She may probably need more dextrose to regain her activeness again like last time. (Because the moment she had the IV a week ago, she had ate alot of canned tuna a day later)

Force-feeding by syringe is now our last resort in making her at least eat or drink.

That kitty is in bad shape. Stress hormones are making her not eat.*

Just do everything you can. I would even avoid getting upset around them, they need as little stress as possible if you want them to eat. Kitties bond to a protective figure, she’ll be more calm if you try to be.

Cats live a small part of our lives, but we’re there for all of theirs.

She is young enough to turn around. The scar tissue on the kidneys don’t disappear, but the rest of the kidney slowly regenerates (multiple tissue types thought to not have stem cells actually do have some)

Your kitty would like a small dark place that’s warm, or to be in your proximity. Safer she feels, the more likely she will eat and get meaningful sleep. Humans don’t like small places, but it makes cats feel safe.

*We can see that things like adrenaline will raise blood sugar. Unfortunately her blood sugar might still be low. Stress hormones still interfere with hunger hormones, regardless of blood sugar.

We got rest/digest which is a building state fight/flight/freeze is a state in which the body breaks itself down for energy. She needs to be in the first bracket of states, the second one will continue to stress her kidneys.

You also can’t force her to live, remaining calm will be her best chance. Even if she is fucked just be with her and stay calm.
