I thought consoles took a wrong turn the second I figured out my Little Big Planet 2 save file got corrupted when I was forced to restart my PS3 by an infinite loop I encountered trying to load a level, BEFORE PS+ was a thing; SINCE WHEN did we have to worry about corrupted files on a console? Or infinitely looping loading screens, for that matter? If I didn’t have these problems with previous consoles, why should I expect them from beefier tech?
In fact, is there even any legitimate difference and my PC? How come DVDs/bluerays aren’t exclusive to certain players, but what console I own determines which games I can play? Why can’t we just play all our games on our PC? We do everything else on there!
…and what’s worse is that the corporations didn’t think it was enough to segregate content through hardware; they had to go and do it through software too! Not only are we essentially seeing “virtual” platforms like Steam and iTunes, but there are several different variations of Android alone that prevent cross-buying across devices! On fact, that’s another thing: how come only A FEW of the PSOne games are available for vita? How come I can’t cross-buy ALL the games that’re available on more than one system?
