Good point. It’s a WLW pairing, so it’s tempting to call it a “lesbian couple,” but both of them have dated men, from what I understand of the show.
@TheHappySpaceman
quite a few people use the term to mean relations with two or more women and no men, it’s one of thoe things where a word has more than one meaning,
@TheHappySpaceman
I just call them female and don’t think much more of it. I think Rebecca Sugar put them as genderless just so she could fuck with the porn artists. But I’m not the most hardcore Steven Universe fan since my time with the show hasn’t been as big as others so I’m sure their reasons are more valid than mine.

IMO, people drawing porn of certain characters only increases the likelihood of getting more viewers. I don’t see why it’s a bad thing.
Porn is just another flavour of fanart, as is smut fanfic, and just fanfic at all. And shipping, and OCs, and AUs, and anything tangentially related to a series. It’s only a bad thing is the person who thinks that is part of the purity police.
Maybe because they see their characters as their children and they don’t want people making porn of their children or they don’t like people making porn of them without their permission first.
I just discovered that Wonderstorm only has nineteen people employed in it.
I take back everything negative I said about the first season of The Dragon Prince‘s animation quality. For a studio with only nineteen members, that’s goddamn beautiful-looking.
