for about 5 seconds I read that as sonic X runs at 60 fps on series X. Which if it was would mean you’re watching in HD

I was sad tonight, so I watched the first episode of “Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog” to cheer myself up.

My favorite gag was Sonic stopping the bad guys chasing him and telling them he was over there.

Guess I made an iHop reward account for nothing then. Oh well, the Sonic blueberry waffles were delicious.

Iizuka recently revealed that he’s interested in seeing a new Sonic RPG. I’ll be down with the idea as long as it’s done well & they get the right team to do it, (preferably Atlus) I don’t want to see another repeat of Sonic Chronicles

so I recently rewatched all the old satam cartoons and honestly I’m struck with just how detached from sonic as a series the TV show feels like. also at some point I remembered that there’s so much porn of these characters

being 30ish years old and based on something they had to add lore to will do that.
you could probably take eggman and sonic out of it and it’d be it’s own thing.

Yea, the games didn’t really have much lore to go around, so the show had to basically make it up as it went along. Also, if I recall, no one from Sega was directly involved in it.
The comics came after the show, and world-built from there. For good or ill, that was the extended canon until the 3D games and handheld games started coming out.
Now, Sonic lore is this rather awkward mishmash of everything that came before. All of it is sort of just handwaved.
Hell, what planet are they even on in the Forces - IDW time frame. Earth? Mobius? It’s intentionally not elaborated on.

despite how badly the last Sonic rpg was… im gonna be honest, I think id be down for an Etrian Odyssey style Sonic Rpg game… Atlus could do an amazing and awesome job if they got a good chance at it.

The tie ins to the 2 games at the time are subtle, the whole idea of Robotnik/Eggman basically being a dictator came from the Sonic 2 manual. “Mega Muck” a common trap in the show was also the name of the purple liquid in Chemical Plant Zone. The show also featured Buzzbombers as it’s only badnik besides Swatbots.

Also, had the series continued for a third season, Tails would of developed more into Sonic’s sidekicks, and a storyline with Knuckles would of developed.
Even if SatA.M. feels very different from the modern game/comic canons, it’s still got a huge cult following of fans who miss that show and the Archie series. Some even prefer it or miss it over the new canons.
