…Well, I’ll give him this, at least he wasn’t Bit and Byte (AKA the single WORST part of Mega Man X3)

Still, Bit and Byte managed to be worse.
 
Seriously, who the FUCK thought that it was a good idea to force the player to have to confront two REALLY HARD bosses in the middle of a regular stage when they don’t have a whole lot of resources available to them yet, and give no tangible benefit for beating them, and still forcing them to beat the rest of the level as normal even though you undoubtedly had to burn extra lives and sub-tanks to nail them?
 
Seriously, unless you’re a god-tier player, just restart the fucking game whenever they show up, it’s going to be way faster than dying 3 times and having to repeat the whole fucking stage over.

Yeah, there’s a reason why Mega Man X3 is the least fun of the SNES trilogy. Namely that it’s the most difficult of the series in some rather unfun ways.

Should I be glad that I don’t remember what the Bit and Byte boss fight was like?

Yes. Both of them trive on reducing your manuverability and then striking you with attacks that would be difficult to evade even without being crippled. Bit uses a magnet thingy to repel you from walls and then either shoots at you or charges at you with his gigantic sprite, and Byte shoots a suppressor ring that bounces around the floor twice that stops you from moving if it touches you before either charging at you or shooting an infuriating homing ball that is hard as fuck to evade in between his other attacks.

Remember the Mega Ball power-up in Mega Man 8 that was basically just there to promote the “Mega Man Soccer” thing? I hear it was a real pain to use, not helped by the fact that there was at least one boss that could only be damaged with it.

Ah, I remember downloading its ROM to see if I could start liking soccer games by playing a Mega Man game that is a soccer game. Turns out it’s just as twat as Winning goddamn Eleven.

Wasn’t there also a Mega Man kart racing game in the 90’s? I think it was called Mega Man Battle and Chase, or something along those lines. It was never released in North America until it was a bonus game in the Mega Man X Collection.

Mega Man 8’s voice acting is god-tier stuff right there.

So Mega Man Legacy Collection has just been released on the Steam, Xbox and Playstation Stores! (I have no idea when its going to be released to the Nintendo 3DS eShop yet.) Is anyone here interested in picking it up and checking out the challenge mode and other content it has?
