What does history tell us, then? Using our verdicts, 14.5 of the 24 cover athletes (or 60%) from 1999-2023 have been cursed, but just 3 of the 10 cover athletes (or 30%) from the last 10 years, 2013-2023, have been cursed. So the “Madden” curse may be alive, but it might also be losing its power. Or, you know, it could just be made up.
